Time this Club made a statement.

Yep agreed. He has missed too much training and preseason to warrant a spot straight up. Don't get me wrong we need to bring him back in as soon as possible but at lease one game in the Reserves should do. Not sure who to drop from last weeks game to bring him in. Maybe Cary ?

I think Cary would be unlucky to get dropped.
That was just about his best game for the Club.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

Also guys - we have a 4 day turn around coming up pre the Anzac Day game. 1/2 a game this week in Ressies then 3/4s a game in the Ressies then Full game League for the Anzac Day Clash.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

What gets lost in these musings by supporters is that the coaches, club medicos and S&C staff are best positioned to assess a players readiness to return after injury. We forget that training not only consists of procedures and game day structures but also match simulation which generally is a pretty good test of just how an injured player is travelling. I only think back to Chris Phelan from Subi returning after long term layoffs in 2017 and 2018 and he came straight in and had an immediate impact. Fitness and match hardness can be an issue but talent and whether a player can make a positive contribution to the team should be the first consideration.

I think we will need to be very careful how we manage players around the 4 day break. Look what we did to Souths last year when they had a short turn around.

STT will work it out Ted.
Guru will play Ninja even though no match fitness.

Then we lose that in and under hardness. He was a much improved player last year. I would be reluctant to change a winning team.
