Fantastic first up performance by the boys today. I thought there were some signs late in the second qtr the Eagles might run over us but it was the opposite. We were a pack hungry tackling machine in the second half and that was the difference. You could see the impact on the eagles and they didn't like it. I got to take my hat off to Eyresy, best ruckman on the ground by a mile and loved the games by Mitch Lague and Shaun Smith. We might have found one there. Bring that effort every week boys and we will win a lot more than we lose and finals will be a realistic expectation.

The attendance deserves a mention. A big turnout by Eagles supporters wearing their colours, queues outside the gate after the game had already started and parking wasn't easy. Hopefully that wasn't just a one off curiosity effort by the Eagles supporters. Turn up every week and the WAFL will be the better for it. Must have been 2500 odd there.

Looked great on telly. Crowd 3800 according to the West.

Words almost fail me. Just superb. By far the very best game that I have seen the club play for a long, long time.

Congrats to the demons for flagging the scum today , have to say latho looked superb on the Tele surface great and I love the compact outer that looks a lot better on Tele when full , maybe 3000 there!

Their tackling and pressure was fantastic.
I was expecting our fitness to fade but the opposite was the case.

Very well done Perth, today is a fantastic result...
Had a look at the online score at ¾ time and the Demons were up by 3 or 4 goals. Then hoped there would not be a final quarter fade out.
However Perth must have really put the foot down after three quarter time and eventually won by over 40 points.
Perth finished the match with 20 Disposals / Goal and an attacking ratio of 33%. They were not achieving figures like that very much last season. A brilliant start to the 2019 season by the Perth footy club.

But don't tell the so called commission their little fairy tutu team lost and Subiaco kept powering on - because they will dislike todays results immensely.

Well done Perth. You struck the first blow for the real WAFL teams. West Perth very nearly made it a double as well over the Dockers. Makes a mockery of the so called experts none of whom selected the Dee's to win this game.
