Agree with you here Smokey, whilst there are those who will deliberately cheat, I’m sure that most will not know they are breaking rules / question it if sanctioned by a club doctor or sports scientist.

For an 18 year old kid coming into an AFL footy club you are told what to eat, when to eat it, when to train, when to ice bath, when to do weights, what they need to do for recovery etc etc. If a club doctor says, you need to take these son to prepare your body for the riggers of AFL footy, you will. You will trust that they have your best interests at hart. Also think about the amount of “jabs” or tablets pro athletes will have administrated on a weekly basis: cortisone, anti inflamiroty, local anaesthetics, saline (dehydration), pain killers, creotine, protein, caffeine etc.

Hey anchor i dont just have a problem with Essendon , i have a massive problem with any team or person that has to cheat to be better than its opposition .

Doesnt matter what colour they are , this guy has played at the top level and is a very good footballer - 60 odd games at the top level compared to the figjams who struggled to get a regular game at wafl level ( even at PERTH ) . Reimers may talk the talk but the difference between the figjams that have left the club is that he has walked the walk . Therefore i reckon Reimers can wear whatever colour boots he wants BTB my old mate .
