I agree Paul regarding the players knowing nothing, but unfortunately ASADA doesn't work that way, the only thing the players can do is sue the Essendon fc.

If Reimers and other players are found not to have taken anything why should ASADA put them in the same basket as the cheats ??? Its not about the players knowing nothing , its about who actually took the drugs imo . For example one of the players Bacha Houli is a strict muslim and a very religious person , now i doubt he would have taken anything so why should he be dragged down to the scumbags level.

Yeah its a hard one, i heard an interview with some one from Asada and that question was raised, and he said ignorance is no excuse he said as a sportsman you should know what supplements you are taking.
Didn't Casserly from Swans get done for 2 years for taking Sudafed for a cold they didn't show him any mercy like i said the players would have to take seek damages from the club.

Reimers did admit he took something in his interview and that it was cutting edge, so he may have incriminated himself.

Whats the relevance with Bachar Houli. Hasn't been at Essendon since 2010.

I thought he said the club told players the stuff they were taking was right on the edge , and he said he chose not to take it ??? I could be wrong but im sure Reimers said he didnt take anything but did sign the form that all players signed .

He said he took some supplements but he stopped because they were'nt doing anything for him.

It does seem that some players could be on a "hiding to nothing."

Having said that, if they are to be tested now it will only show up what they have or have not been taking during the pre-season, if anything.

If what they have allegedly been taking is cutting edge but still on the right side of the line then do they then have any problems?

As for Reimers and any other delisted players they presumably are clean now and no test will be positive no matter what they may have taken last year.

It is a difficult situation and I fear that the innocent may be caught up in the furore and be unfairly dealt with.

It is all a bit "airy fairy" atm so I guess we will just have to wait to see what develops from here on.

Don't let us see innocent players made scapegoats for the hierachy at the AFL and EFC.

I understand that Mr AFL , my point being i doubt it was only last year that they have been doing this sort of stuff . People are dragging Woewodins name into things and he hasnt been around for a long time , Hird was involved with certain peple in 2004 whilst playing . Surely if ASADA are going to conduct this operation properly they must look into things before 2012 as well . These things have been going on for some years , Akermanis opened his gob up about it about 5 yrs ago and said he even witnessed players doing it - where there is smoke there is fire thats all im saying .

Smokey the ACC have been investigating the Bombers for 12 months, they have used phone taps and surveillance , i dare say all the proof they need is there without the players testing positive to anything.

I'm confused, I can't see how you can be done if you're not tested.

I may be naive but no test no proof.
