(again . . . the jury is still out) but please get off my mother hey as I just got off yours!!

Only a Perth supporter will compare a club through how far the grandstand is from the grass. Christ - clutching at some or what??

Do a bit of research on Fremantle Oval and you may find out why. Simple folk I spose and all that.

Anyway - have to get back to teaching my class the ins and the outs . . . so to speak.

Lighten up softies - its all a bit of fun . . . .unless you follow Perth or Peel. =)

FMD. Memo Tony Abbott : no wonder our kids today can't spell and add up or subtract and have no respect. Stop dumbing down the education standards. That would be a good start. Hope you can take it doggie.

Wish admin would fix this problem of post not showing then shows up after posting again. :pinch:

Swanky wrote: Spoke a different guy today who I don't think has any contact with the first person I spoke to and he has confirmed that it is Earl Spalding as coach for 2/3 years with Foster as his assistant. They were signed on Friday. The reason that it hasn't been announced is that their is a third person involved who will be a new assistant who is currently away.

Swanky I haven't seen any news on the assistants , any updates on who will be supporting Earl?

Nothing on the Perth website about the Spalding appointment either. Pretty disappointing.

DD, the main item on the club website is all about Spalding's appointment. It seems basically the same as the main press release.
Nothing on there about assistants which is strange. Perhaps Spalding has a say in who his team will be, hence the delay. Surely an announcement can't be far away as pre-season starts soon.

Heard Spalding speaking on the radio this morning, impressive. Was going to meet up with PFC legends from the sixties to draw inspiration from and try to get the spirit of years gone by back into the club. Spoke about the "process" as opposed to promising how many games he expected to win. Knows he has a task ahead of him, so don't expect any outlandish promises. Did mention something about having spoken to someone, this bit I didn't quite follow, not sure if he meant a player from the eastern states or an assistant coach. Either way, the WAFL needs a PFC playing finals. The old "pig pen" has characters only rivalled by the "can bar" at basso.

I see it now. Couldn't see it under news but clicked on the Welcome banner. I like the fact he has always been involved in some sort of coaching role since he retired.

I reckon the wafl will survive without pfc playing finals. It has done since 1978. What s that , 36 yrs? Oh no sorry thats a flag. Finals series maybe 2 or 3? Regardless the wafl will be alright. :P
