It just frustrates me that it has taken this long for the club to blood colts players through earlier. The benefits fair out way the negatives.

Mitch Browne and Brent Edmonds are two players that I will be having a look at over the preseason and see how they come on next year.

We have got a few players at the club who show "PROMISE" but lets hope the development systems improve. They seem to be improving slightly but there's still a long way to go to reach the standards of other clubs.

Geez don't get me going about this club's inability to transition colts players to league. We would have to be the very WORST club in the WAFL for that. Seen way too many talented kids who show promise play colts one year then next you see then at Maddington or back home at Federals or just gone completely.

New coach, the whole joint needs to be thrown made again starting with talent spotting and development.

If Chris Yarran rolls up at WP next season as rumoured that would deadset do my head in. Classic example of a kid good enough to be fast tracked to league who got wasted playing colts and seconds because of perceived technical weaknesses. Bet if he was at Swans - who are the benchmark for this - he'd have been nurtured that pathway to league footy.

Totally agree Dazz. For this club to go anywhere with a new coach we have to go back to square one and re-set our thinking on talent development and transition paths. Yes, Swans are very good at it but so are clubs like Claremont and East Fremantle, Souths also. We must raise our standards to those levels and we must do it now.
I can remember a time (60s and 70s) when Perth Football Club were the best and most innovative at it. We can get our act together and do it again.

We could do no worse. There is plenty of no nonsense logic posted here. Those currently running the football department could do well to take some notice.
