As witnessed yesterday.
It's a friggin farce.

Hmm a bit rich coming from a team who has the biggest sniper. You guys are angels that is why two of your players were reported and so many east perth players were getting decked that the umps couldn't keep up.lucky for 39 he didn't come close enough to the scoreboard wing or otherwise i think a gentleman might have jumped the fence. What happened yesterday had nothing to do with the host club.It was just a club out of control.Every team has a bad day with the umps but you control what you can.to give away so many fifty metre penalties was stupid.to have two goals kicked without the ball going back to the centre was stupid.100 metre penalties stupid.relayed free kicks stupid.kicks given away without the ball bounced was stupid.you don't mouth off to the umps and i suspect the majority of the fifty penalties were for that.any prospective coach looking at that undisciplined rabble on saturday will say no thanks.

Quite to the contrary mate. We might not have won a game since Trevor Williams took over but the side has been severely depleted by injuries but they are having a dip and giving their all. Thats all Ican ask as a ssupporter and Iam quite proud of their efforts, albeit our skills and decision making are lacking at times. There is a fair bit there for the next coach to work with and hopefully he can attract a few quality players to the club. After all we don't have a club president who owns 80% of the car market in WA who can hand out cushy jobs and a shiny new set of wheels to attract players to the club.

It's no wonder the likes of Smith and Johnson are quite happy to stay at an AFL aligned club..

Larry, where were you watching the game from and where were the 60 "boguns" that you refer to?

Could you stand anywhere near Lathlain and not be near at least 60 bogans?

More like 10 Bogans, there age I meant was 60+. In front of grandstand near interchange, just showing off in front of friends I guess berating players, umpires etc. No harm done I guess but I felt a little embarrassed for them probably grand fathers most of them. It's no wonder society is the way it is when you see this type of behaviour from people that should be setting an example.

Pot calling the kettle black Larry.? Bogun Hunters could do a whole episode at Medibank. A plethora of flannelette shirts and toothless ferals among your lot. At least our club didn't roll over at the first opportunity when the Eagles rang your club president. Your clubs alignment has destroyed the integrity of the competition this year. How you and your lot can even turn up and clap and cheer with 3 Perth players wearing an EP jumper is mind boggling. How did you go the last 3 years under Micale before jumping back in the sack with the Eagles?

That is more like the number Larry and I was one of them. I assure you that we are not boguns, yes, at least one grandfather (me) and we are passionate, loyal and very frustrated Demons borne from 40 years of disappointment.

I cannot speak for the others but I am not embarrassed at all by any comments I may have made nor am I embarrassed by the behaviour of the others. Most of the noise from this group was directed at the umpiring which was totally out of control and which facilitated all the spotfires that broke out during the game. Sure there was some banter towards individual players, good natured or not, but that is par for the course at any football game and some of your own supporters are not immune to similar behaviour.

Both teams were at it but perhaps the blue and blacks were smarter and were able to draw the 50m penalties and other free kicks that they got.

I am a former umpire myself (not at WAFL level) and it makes my blood boil when I see the sub standard officiating week in and week out. And I have to say that Saturday's performance was the very worst that I have ever seen. Players can make mistakes or indiscretions and should rightly be punished BUT not to the point where obvious free kicks for them are blatantly ignored.

One has to be forgiven for thinking that Saturday's umpiring was biased and bordering on cheating and I believe that results from the tribunal this season have highlighted some of the problems being manifested by an ill considered and badly managed AFL club alignment setup.

Larry, I have no sour grapes concerning the result of the game. Your team played far superior football than mine, they were vastly fitter. bigger bodied and were, as I said before, smarter. The scoreboard tells the tale. My gripe is that umpires must be able to control the game and not let it get out of control as we saw and most certainly when free kicks are warranted they should be paid no matter the player or the club involved.

I trust that you were appropriately entertained as a guest of the Perth Football Club and enjoyed watching your team win.

Fair enough not looking for tit for tat I have seen worse behaviour from EP supporters over the years. Just think berating players went to far on this occasion it wasn't good natured some of it and far from witty. On the umpiring my comments would be Perth stretched the bounds of what is considered hard and fair play. Some of it was undisiplined two players in particular in your back line have a screw loose. After three quarter time I would agree the umpires seemed determined to give Perth absolutely nothing but to be honest they deserved little anyway. Not wishing to be argumentative just my take on it.

Oh yes and sorry I always enjoy the real Perth derby thanks. Must admit I like the Demons, but the game on Saturday was not the real Perth. Next year bigger things for you guys I hope, maybe with Dean in charge.

It wasn't after the game it was at three quarter time. The CEO fronted the men in orange in the centre square to which they promptly took their little books out and had a scribble. Then that hillbilly halfwit Sinclair marched in and told them what a wonderful job they were doing after which they didn't pay another free to Perth.
