DD I wrote about the dangers of West Coastism in realtion to Waterman not long back. Once they get to Laithlan in a few years they will attempt to get the next alignment with the PFC and it will be all over. Besides, going back to your message of a couple of months back, where you considered candidates, in comparison, neither Glass or Cox have coached a team. One can only wonder at what goes through people's heads. I have the same reservations about Guerra and Bateman. I would like to remind people that when Swans and Subiaco were in trouble in the late 1970s and early 80s, respectively both appointed experienced men. You need a football coach not poster boys from the eagles. Haselbey has been winning football matches again, so I would have thought a quick phone call might be worthwhile?

For the record I have sent an email to the WAFC this evening complaining about the standard of the umpiring and requested that the umpiring fraternity release the unexpurgated version of the Umpires' Advisers' report on the three umpires at Basso today. If there is any response, and I don't suggest that anyone hold's their breath in the interim, I will post it on ozfooty. It is time that the likes of Worobec are sacked or the umpires coaches should resign or be sacked.

The only recent retiree that is a real staunch East Perth man and is taller than Glassy is Coxy.

If either of these two were to coach the club in some capacity or for some reason we went with inexperience then I would hope that the club looks at bolstering the coaches box with senior assistants.

Turnbull perhaps?....when did he retire again? I know he loves the EP/WCE football club!.......Not too sure how folk would be queueing up for the PFC job?...besides a masochist!!..The SF job yeah I can understand being a popular gig, but PFC?.....not too sure you guys have the prospective cattle like SF seems to be displaying at present...but then always easier to win when your season is done and dusted.....

You would hope that the Perth selection panel don't fall into appointing Eagles poster boys as stated on here. The club has a chance to get it right and start a fresh in 2015. If these people are appointed then would it be the start of the end of Perth losing it's identity? I personally hope Perth appoint experience but if not then someone from outside the state with no ties here would be better.

They are saying Todd Curely or Arthur Maskos at South Fremantle and Tony Micale to East Fremantle.

What are peoples thoughts on Steve Malaxos? Even if it's only as an assistant.

Curley to South heard that too. Big Dean super keen at the Demons and Glass in some capacity.

If the club appoints an experienced coach they will not need senior assistants. The place will be in big trouble if -- under an inexperienced Coach -- they lose their first six games. Remember, you have not won since the last coach left.
