Apparently McMahon was an assistant coach for Claremont on saturday. It didn't take long for him to land on his feet.

Hopefully Harris is interested. I just want to see the best person for the job appointed.

If we did go with an untried senior coach (which I hope we don't) then I wouldn't mind if it was Steven Armstrong.

Ross McQueen is someone at the Tigers that has coached colts and reserves premierships.

No thanks MR AFL. Army is always welcome back of course but must serve a full apprenticeship under a senior coach first.

If theres 20 applicants then you can bet anything most of those will be duds.
I'm starting to wonder if there is anyone out there thats available or that wants our job and worth getting!

Obviously whoever (if there was anyone) the club had in mind is not available, its been roughly 4 to 5 weeks that they knew McMahon was gone, plenty of time to get your man!

I just hope we are not going to reignight or prolong some old coaches career by making a "well theres noone else" appointment.
Its one thing picking someone with a recognisable name but can they coach!!!

Im starting to think also another "dud" awaits.

Don't go throwing yourself off tall buildings just yet fellas. PFC are obliged to advertise the position under WAFC rules. The serious candidates will have all been sounded out already and know that the club has the money and is committed to letting the new coach paint his own canvas.

The lesson from the past four years is don't put your faith in non-football people at the club to make good decisions when blinded by loyalty to certain individuals who might be good blokes but can't do their job properly. Now its the turn of the only one out there with football credentials to prove that he does know what he is doing.

30plus no doubt most of the applicants would be considered duds andif the lik es of Harris and Harvey have already turned down offers offers and there are only duds to pick from then Trevor Williams is the way to go IMO from what I've seen of his addresses during the breaks. I encourage you to go out and have a listen at the next game. I think he wants to allow the club to get the best coach coach out there but if there is nothing out there that stands out I think he might consider taking the reigns for 2 years. That's my opinion.

Has Harvey turned it down??

Williams...no way at all.
The last 2 weeks if you needed any proof is there and if you needed further proof he has already been a senior coach at WAFL level with a wooded spoon to his credit.
If the players wanted him they would be playing for him and putting up better efforts than they are.
Obviously the players arent listening to him and besides he's been quite emphatic that he doesnt want the job.
A Williams appointment would be a gigantic step backwards imo.

We will just have to wait and see and hope that the club gets it right,we will know soon enough.
