Grump the answer is,no we dont.
Our depth right through is poor and light on especially in the tall man...KPP's and Ruck and also in the midfield possies.

Our league squad in my opinion falls away badly after about 8 or 9 players in fact iv'e been saying this for a while,some of our players abilities are over-rated to the extent that they shouldnt be playing league football.

We do need to recruit and we have to sort out our tall kpp's forward and back,a mature aged ruckman and at least 2 quality mids.

Hopefully the new coach that gets the job can get all the above sorted out and that the club will do everything possible for it to happen.

We can rule out Darren Harris. It was put to him at half time during the ABC broadcastif he was in the runn ing for the Perth gig and he said "no I'm contracted to the Carine Cougars". I reckon Monaghan will be in the gun next year given the disappointing year WP is having and Harris is lining himself up for a return to the red and blue.

At least we know and can move on to finding the next best available.

Harris said the Carine Cougars Under 12's from memory, so don't think a Junior Coaching gig would rule him out?

Maybe ex-Falcons Coach Dennis Cometti might want the gig!!!!

He said "No". I would say if he was interested he would have said let's just wait and see or I'm happy doing what I'm doing at the moment but you never say never. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't be speaking to him and throwing a good offer his way.

I told you guys a few weeks ago that he is not interested and has his own business to run, has no time for coaching a WAFL team, but does coach his sons junior team for a bit of fun.

Time to talk about other real prospects, it is a pity Souths are also looking for a coach as both clubs would be competing in that department.

gotta admit, credentialled candidates are a bit thin on the ground if Harris is not interested..it probably only leaves Harvey and maybe Watters. Are there any assistants in other WAFL clubs doing great things at the moment?

Someone said at the game on the weekend there has been 20 applicants. Not sure how true that is but if so there should be a few decent ones in that lot. So Falcon, if WP have a similar year next year and they show Monaghan the door you don't think Harris would be interested? I've heard heard his business is not doing so well.

Yes DD, I like to be optimistic too.
But enough is enough I reckon they will appoint a dud.
