You would, DM must have a photo of you in a compromising position.

That is funny!

If you burst a blood vessel yesterday you better upgrade to top hospital cover. If DM is allowed to serve out the remaining year and a half of his contract you might end up needing a triple bypass.

You are right there Cardy about the results possibly going either way.

The only ex AFL coach I can think off is Mark Harvey. Would be a great get but for me the kitchen sink needs to be thrown at Darren Harris and he needs to be allowed to go out and get a key forward and a key midfielder.

Yep, Mr AFL, Harvey, Harris, someone of that ilk needs the kitchen sink and that bath tub to be thrown at them and soon before other clubs beat us to it.

Our past 38 years is full of "what ifs".
Every club at some stage has a "what if" story to be told.

Remember it was the coach that came out and stated "this is the best squad i've had"

And yes coaches do make a difference if its the right one.
eg,3/4 time yesterday an inspirational stiring address was required,Swans were full of run, what did he deliver...the same mundane rubbish!
I also reckon our coach and his selectors quite often get it wrong at the selection table,we needed for eg.to go into yesterdays game with 2 ruckmen!
Flexibility!...he losses it big time imo when he goes with a make-shift back-up,its continually robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Im also not that naive to think this squad is it,it probably at best a first semi final team, its definately not a premiership or GF team, not by a long shot.
We are better than a 6th or 7th placed team!

Swans class was a step above ours especially there first and second year players and not to mention there seasoned players and the impact they have on a game.

We tease,we promise, each pre-season we are told this is it,yet we fail to deliver!
For mine its the coaches and lack of key personel out on the field.

Darren Harris would be my number 1 choice,he"s bben there and done that both as player and coach at wafl level.

By the way whats happened to our 10 point ressies player??

Listened to the after game wrap on the radio on the way home and the commentators doing our game also reckon McMahon's job would be in jeopardy with the ammount of time he's had at the club.

Thanks MR AFL,the question has to be asked why did we recruit this guy?
At 10 points he should have played at least 1 league game before now!!
Our list needs a review.

30plus with the amount of media personalities that follow this club you think we could attract a high profile coach? The club should be tapping into these guys in the media who might have some influence. All clubs do it, whether it be wealthy or well known people of influence. Get Darren Harris and I reckon a couple of those key position and midfielders will follow along with some more credible assistant coaches. Add the right people and we can go places. Keep kicking the can down the road with this bloke and we will go nowhere.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

I was speaking to a bloke on Saturday about Tim Hunt and here's roughly what he had to say.

"Tim played some VFL football for Collingwood. Has good pace and a reasonable kick on him. His more probably more of an outside footballer but can still go in and find his own ball. With his game he should be more suited to the bigger grounds over here in WA. He was coming off an injury last season, hence his delayed start to the year and why he was playing in the two's. Was close to getting a game but then obviously had a bit of bad luck and did his shoulder."

Personally from what I've seen of him I'd be prepared to give him a chance. However I did pose the question on here last month about the possibility of Tim sitting out the rest of the year and getting his body right but still training with us in preparation for 2015. That allows us 10 points to go and have a crack at trying to fill one or two holes as best we can for the remainder of the year. We probably wont strike gold like we did with J. Morton but surely 1-2 players in the WAFL reserves from the other 8 clubs could play a role in our side.

It's either that or admit the season is done and start getting 5-6 games into younger players who we reckon will be around for the next 5-6 years. Blokes like Sam Garstone, Joel Kalajzic, Brent Edmonds, Blake Borrett, Sean Lynch, Scott Doncon, Bradyden Manuel, Damian Wright.

Not saying they would all be deserving of a game but of the seasons done and dusted why cant we give these boys 5-6 games of league football and then with another preseason see what happens. League football you would think is going to be better for their development in the long run and we just might be better for it as a club as well.
