Must say you Perth mob are a hard lot.. but in saying that if it was happening at WP we would go the same way... Dont worry Monaghan was looking unsteady at one stage when we werent doing well.. AND he took us to a premiership or rather should I say THE TEAM took us to a premiership.

Thats my point maybe some of the players should really have a good look at themselves in the mirror and consider whether they should wear the Red and black? Maybe put a few ressies up as they did well today and a couple had good stats.. Not my call but see the same thing at WP as I am a keen Ressies fan. We lost a good ruckman who is proving he is a key player at Subi because of it..

Food for thought anyway guys.. and 30 plus years is a long time between premierships but shit we had to wait 20 before we broke the drought
Thats footy

Well I love this club and will keep coming till the day the closed sign is put out the front. That last quarter was the most insipid quarter I have seen. Where was the heart? It shits me to tears.

Our coach has stated that this is the best squad he has had...wheres the results!

West Perth under Monaghan's reign is no way like McMahon's in the same time period.
WP under Monaghan have finshed 2nd,5th,2nd and are now in the 4 and won a flag, compared to McMahon 6th,8th.6th and currently 6th(we will go to 7th in SF win Monday) and no finals.

Its been 37 years since our last flag much longer than a 20 year wait!!

We have no tall KP forwards in the rssies and no gun midfielders,i have no confidence in much in the lower grade that will make any difference to our results.
Overall in the club we lack talls which includes rucks and KPP's,we lack pace and class in the midfield and certainly the ressies team offers none of the listed.

Our recruiting overall has been poor.
Just look at Swans today Blaine Broekhorst in the midfield has height, pace and the boy can play from Broome 1 point player,Ricky Cary has height, takes a big grab, kick a goal and also can play from Trinity 1 point player.
We just cant identify and get those types from our district,we get the small to mid size player no pace and of the same ilk,the dime a dozen type!!

The coach has had 4 years to rectify our shortfalls and failed!

You can blame the coach all you want and yes he is part of the problem. But this squad has shown they are capable of being a top team this year. Couldn't put 4 quarters together if they tried though. Again I ask where's the pride in the jumper and the heart to go with it?

We are not fit thats the coach and his pre-season,we lack pace, height thats the coaches and recruiting.
Im sorry but he is a huge part of the problem.
He also selects the team along with a selection panel..O'Sullivan makes the same errors week in week out and he should have been in the 2's this week.He cost us directly and indirectly 4 goals today and hes not the only under performing player yet they still line up in the league team, thats the coach and his selectors!

Yes the players in part are also to blame...but really its talent from the other teams thats doing us because they have an even spread of pace, class, height all over the ground and the coach gets lost in a game plan during a game, the heat goes on and we are buggered!
The coach has assembled what he believes is the best squad he has had and by Monday that team could be sitting in 7th spot.

The players are subject to a game plan that over 3 1/2 years hasnt worked thats the coach.

Have noticed the number of spectators is said to be 3 and a half thousand. Which is one of the best attended matches so far this season, according to the figures. :) Lets hope the other three games get equal or more people attending to bump up the low total attendance figures we've seen thus far in Twenty 14.

30 plus I do agree with what you're saying but do you reckon any player showed a bit of heart out there after half time. Especially in that last qrt.

My answer to that is no. Paul Bevan is our spiritual leader and he seems to have lost the intensity he played with in the first half a dozen games compared with the last few. If this club fails to make a move on the coach it might be the last we see of him at the end of this year.

You have to cut the team some slack for that fade out yesterday. They were down to one on the bench in the second half. But that doesn't fully excuse what was effectively a 12 goal turnaround from the middle of the second quarter. We continue to let teams go on a rampage for periods in games when we turn into witches hats. Its those mental lapses which have killed us all season and against the really good teams they make us pay big time as Swans did yesterday.

Rumour going around yesterday out there from a senior media source that there is an AFL experienced coach looking for a WAFL gig next season. Time for this club to be brave and get into the market place now for a new coach before another bastard club snavels him.

This is what happens when you go with the cheap option and an untried coach 4 years of misery and the club has gone backwards and you have to blame the people at the top who are dumb and have **** all vision.
