Gee our whole coaching panel from the top to the bottom is mediocre imo.

Its going to be the same old type of year us Perth supporters are used to.
The odd upset win,will be in games for small periods,lose more than we win,have a poor record at home and come the end of August it will be mothballs yet again!

If we had beaten EF by 12 goals everyone would be saying "a bit premature. Don't get too carried away."
Having said that, it was a pretty dismal display on Saturday and not the sort of thing to enthuse about one week out from round 1.

Let's just wait and see.

That's a good question. Laurie Liddlelow seemed to be spending time with the forwards in the huddle yesterday. Ian Ruck and Kade Lang are the other assistants I believe.

Dazzler, Trevor Williams was defensive coach last year. My understanding was that Ian Ruck is the ruck coach. Don't know which line Kade Lang will take and we seem to be a line coach short. With respect, I can't see Laurie Liddelow as the forward line coach.

Ok forget the pre-season form/results (although is 2 pre-season games before the season proper counted as a good preperation???) but you cant ignore that we just dont have the tall firepower in the ruck,down back and in the forward line.
We may get away with that in the wet but on fine days and against teams with good talls in KP's we are going to struggle.
Combine this with a medicore midfield and its hard to make a case of where our wins will come from.

I can see it being left to a "few" to get the job done each week,Bevan in the forward line,Risol down back and at least 1 Morton in the midfield.

I reckon if it was illegal for teams to play players over 6 foot 2 inch we'd be a chance to win a couple!

That Morton would be Mitch more than likely 30 plus.

Whilst I'm disappointed with the preseason form I'm waiting to reserve judgement until after the first real game of the season.

Agree that a couple of other key quality players of the same class as the Paul Bevans would have been nice, but it is what it is and lets hope that they can put on a decent performance on Saturday and get the chocolates.

On a side not I was impressed with the size of Sean Lynch. He's listed at 190cm and 77 kg's but I would say he's at least 87/88kg's.

Pointless not playing with any structure, Dont think McMahon has heard of a centre half forward, or full forward. The midfield was crushed, defence exposed, and there was no forward line, all in all should make for an absolute flogging this week against Claremont. Interesting that the coach has surrounded himself with assistants who have no experience ie Lang and Ruck, replaced Broadbridge and Pickering, really really dumb. For those who reckon im being negative I am a long time supporter but sick of the rubbish the club keeps dishing up to its supporters.

Lang was assistant coach for Subiaco Colts in 2012 and may have been in 2013. So he does have some experience.
