Hug, Manuel, Richardson,Hunt,Deaves and Arangio have played league. My point was that there were not many that have played league and the few that have have played hardly any. Pete why are you always so combative??

Those guys you mentioned are fringe players who are yet to establish themselves in the league side, as Sacko said what was the point in sending out a ressies side.

I would of thought getting game time into the league side would of been the plan

What has all of that got to do with me kidding my self?
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

MacMahon has no future mate, a couple of sources at another rival club said tonite that Perth were rubbish and will struggle again this year. That isn't coming from me either, I am just relaying what I heard was thought about Perth. Anyway that's what most think about us too so any win is a good win and Ill take it!!

Perth played their reserves side tonight which was pretty disrespectful to Swans, young Clem Smith the only one who stood out for Perth.
For swans we only had 3-4 out and the boys worked hard but we will struggle against anyone decent.
Cass and Blight were good to have back but Blight then got injured again.
Simmo, Ames and Notte a half only.
Boekhurst, Riggs, Rogers and Faulkner good on ball.
Connor Blakely and Anderson both good for kids
4 Jettas played, Brandon looks handy.
3 blokes up forward played country footy last year and their size indicated they need some more running though Rodney Jetta and Rudy Riddoch know how to kick a goal.
Harvey and Nathan Blakely in the ruck try hard but that's it

You said that a few weeks ago. Honestly how would anyone at rival clubs have any idea what's going on at Perth. Have these sources from rival clubs been spending their pre season at Perth training? We all know Perth are no premiership side but that's ridiculous comments

Injury to hodge will be a blow! 2-3 months out that's nearly half a season.

By the sounds of it no mention of any of our best 22 although I would of thought some would of been better off for the run.

Hopefully the coaches lets some of these recruits loose soon!

Geez .... it's just a pre-season nothing match for fark sakes Lads .... used purely to get some miles & game time into legs

Now if the WAFC had some idea of how to run a comp , we would have a trophy (or whatever) and a fair dinkum set up that was worthwhile , then you might see stronger line-ups

But alas the WAFC are a bunch of inept pole smokers !

As MO said is was disrespectable to Swans and the people that went along thinking the league side was going to be playing, speaking to a senior WAFL coach he said it was laughable as well these are the sort of things that put people off going to the wafl.

Yeh I was thinking the same thing myself, it has come from 2 different clubs (not Swans) so either they have been spying or just dribbling shit

I understand its pre-season, but clubs go over the top with the cotton wool approach thse days.

Back in the 60s 70s and 80s the wafl played 4 scratch matches over 4 weeks all on a Saturday. most games started a little later in the day given no grounds had lights. it was that simple. Clubs didn't play their very best side, but it wasn't far off. At least 80-90% of the sides were made up of the clubs best and the theory was getting the team used to each other.

these days clubs preparation has nothing to do with continuity. Doesn't make that much sense in my opinion
