The whole thing was a total waste of time. What was the full league squad doing there anyway if they weren't playing. They just seemed to be standing around doing nothing. It was disreapectful to Swans and achieved nothing for us. If this is how professional McMahon is going to carry on this year then heaven forbid.
If they didn't want to play a league scratch match then say so. I, like Peter North should have gone to Leederville and watched a real game.

I don't see how that could have benefited either club in their preparation for the season. Swans would have got more out of playing an intra club match last night. If Perth didnt want to play their league team they should have just said so and this would have prevented everyone wasting their time.

It's typical of this footy club though, they just pull the piss. It's sad for their long time supporters who come year in year out thinking something will change.

That isn't coming from me either, I am just relaying what I heard was thought about Perth. Anyway that's what most think about us too so any win is a good win and Ill take it!!

It's a bit unfair on McMahon, give the guy a couple more years before making a judgement.

We have a coach that has absolutely no clue...this doesnt surprise me,shit why would you want to get your league squad cherry ripe for the first game of the season.
How many scratchies do we have????Not bloody many!
Then again maybe this squad is better than i think!

30PLUS I look at 2013 and we won 10 games imagine what we would of achieved with a decent coach, Ive worked it out though we are playing Peel next week we don't want to give our game plan away before we play them it could cost us the game.

I just find it bizarre that you'd bother if your intention was playing your ressies in a pre-season hit out?? Who gets anything out of that except the no. 2's having a run around.

Maybe next week we can play without a football.

Thats debatable Dazzler, the 2's had the stuffing knocked out of them, they got flogged.
Play without a football that might help our genuis coach and his super duper game plan.

Hey PN i reckon our regular game plan would confuse the hell out of Peel gee it confuses our own players.

All a bit doom and gloom fellas.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

I agree with the fact that playing a second grade 2's side was a bit of a waste of time. In saying that though it was good to hear that young players such as Borrett, Hug and Edmonds were impressive.

You would like to think that next week 10-12 of our best 22 come into the squad to play Peel and the week after against EF we will have the side that will closely resemble that of our round 1 team.
