30+, we have an understanding between us that we agree to disagree on many things.
Having said that, I understand what you are saying regarding current recruits and to a greater extent you are correct.
We agree that we needed experienced ruckmen. Not many of them available. Claremont snapped up Seaby but other clubs seem to be like us and not been able to find one. I do know that we tried very hard for Ruck who was talking to several clubs and I don't know where has gone, probably the country.
Leyendekers is a good pickup. Not yet fully tested but most promising. Averaged 20 hitouts and 12 disposals per game over 14 games for Peel last year and 29 ho in his only Colts game.
Murray is still young and worth taking given his size and the dearth of tested ruckmen. Between these 2 and Christian Eyres we have something to work with.
In addition, we have Morgan who I have seen on the track and he is a man mountain. I can't tell you he can play but time will tell as it will with Rowling.
Then there are Risol and Johnston. The latter is a steady player at WAFL level and has the height that we have lacked down back. Risol we know little about other than he is a tall with good stamina. He is another that only time will tell.
The midfield doesn't worry me too much... Bateman, Smith, Sketcher, O'Sullivan, Bevan with Leeson, Moody, Reimers, Florio running thru the midfield at times.
Not sure where Colledge will play but McInnes, Tunbridge, Reimers, Donovan, Stack
and Busher later on when fit.
Perhaps we haven't got the experienced and tested players that we would like but I think the club has done well in addressing the needs bearing in mind the points and salary restrictions and what was available.
Will that be good enough to get us into finals footy? I don't know but what I do know is what I have seen on the training track so far and that is a player group that is totally enthusiastic, disciplined and focussed on team. And at this stage of pre-season they look a lot fitter than I have seen for quite some time.

You seem to be doing a fair job on anyone who differs from your point of view NAFA. Have never been away , sitting back watching you lot dribble as per normal. You imply DD and myself where behind WAFL online demise then you are a fool and need to come up and smell the roses and refrain from being a smoker yes man.

Talking of Max's does anyone know if he got drafted or is he another of the figjam that left the club never to be seen again?

Great post Smokey.....enjoyed reading that, pity your buddy DF can't be as grown up and provide similar insight. That's what this forum should be about.....yeah no harm in some mickey taking banter, but good to see Smokey wear his heart on his sleeve and write an honest, insightful and very realistic post....

hopefully DF will learn from that and stop getting baited by the likes of BTB et al. Until then DF will be open slather for all folk here on Ozfooty for ridicule and mickey taking....thanks for stepping it up a notch smokey, you won't get any more mickey taking from me mate...I wish PFC all the best for 2013.

No need for this sort of attitude DF. I belong with you lot but I am not as gullible as most of my fellow members.No need for names calling as you might offend certain people and with the updated anti discrimination laws around the corner you might get a shock!

Credit where it is due looks like a couple of genuine ruck prospects have been obtained but this Lyendekers bloke sounds like a draft prospect in a year or two. The ruck has long been an achilies heel of this club.
