A lot of these squads are starting to shape up now.

It's all fitness and what's between the ears from here on in. I don't really see any weak squads now.

Trouble is, if Peel are just the slightest bit dedicated for a change, I can't see them losing many games. With their squad, if they don't finish top 2 then there's something seriously wrong with their culture but it's hard to see an AFL club not changing their culture.

TBH i think we are still a fair way behind the 8 ball.
Lot of experience out the door and a fair bit of inexperience in to replace it.


I think our forward line will be ok if Reimers spends a fair bit of time there,i reckon our midfield will struggle fair chunks of a game and i see our backline struggling big time.

Fair bit of pressure on the bulk of the new players to perform stongly at league level from round 1.

Fraser, Noakes x2, Spandex, JKT, and Dougs all had zero impact last year.
Rosco obvious huge loss but I actually think club has recruited well and reckon we are in front, mainly due to the topping up of talls.

Think we are looking ok, and combined with culture shift, strengthened coaching staff we will go alright and definitely not the doom and gloom some (alleged) supporters predict.

30 minus and DD obviously won't be happy with any positive news out of Brownes Stadium.

If your'e going to compare the list of ins and outs do the whole list and not just the names you chose.
By the way one of the Noakes boys was more than servicable,KT was injured ditto McDougall(though i dont think he will be a loss),Davis played out of position etc...

There are too many posters here who shoot from the hip too readily.
They should bother themselves to get down to training and see what is going on.
It would really open their eyes. There are none so blind as those that cannot see.
30+ you have been the biggest critic of the the club's recruiting strategy for a long time. What do you find deficient in what they have achieved this time around?
We have the tall KPP's and a ruck group that addresses the needs that you have been alluding to. Give them the courtesy of showing what they have.
Bearing in mind that recruiting isn't an easy task what more could the football department done?
You are all selling the club short. And don't drag out that old and tired " 30 plus years" etc etc. History cannot be changed.... but tomorrow is another day.

And players being more than serviceable doesn't cut it anymore.

Well, Smokey, to be fair I'm not saying it's a premiership squad...but then again nor is Subi's.

If we're fighting for 3rd or 4th spot then of course I want you to finish 5th.

I have a feeling Claremont will drop off a little bit - maybe 10/20%. Mitchell was to them what Krakouer was to SD. Ok, not in sheer talent but Mitchell always ran his guts out when others at CL were stuffed. Lewis Stevenson is also a big loss. Tom Swift also played 16 games for them in 2012 and at WAFL level is a good player. Not sure he is going on again. Rory Walton was a more than competent player for them also. And it goes without saying that tom Lee is a massive loss. Possibly the best forward in the comp last year.

Sure, they always have kids coming through but they're not "that" good right at this moment.

Ffs its his opinion its a chat forum no, he may or may not be right what he says on here isn't going to influence what happens on the park, i dont think he's knocking the recruiting department.

It would be boring if everyone had the same point of view, no problems with you rejecting his opinion with your views.

Fwiw i think we may be on a equal footing compared to last year in all honesty its up to the club to change the perception it has not disgruntled supporters, they have every reason to be cynical.

LH I am not talking premiership either but I will not be surprised if we are around the place in the fight for final four.

PN i think he is knocking the recruiting department and I have asked him what he finds wrong with what they have done.
