And why did our half forward line constantly sit up on the edge of the square? All that did was take Swans running half backs to the contest. Why not have our forwards all on the goal line to create space to run into and if Swans half backs want to run off then they've got an extra 30-40m to be exposed to?

Johnson in preference to Busher? Couldn't fathom that one. The sight of David Johnson trying to contest at half forward in preference to a Busher just stumped me.

Sure the players played like sh1t but they weren't helped by some mindnumbingly stupid tactical decisions from the coaches box...again!

Both Tunbridge and Eyres reported. Gee it just gets better. Tunbridge really needs to pull his head in. The round arm whack on Ames was senseless. Right in front of the umpire. He'll get a few weeks for it no doubt. That bloke will end up missing as much footy as he plays through his senseless brain snaps.

In Tunbridge's case he won't be missed if he is suspended going by his form on saturday. He was terrible. I think Leeson and Busher are 2 obvious inclusions for next week and there are quite a few who could face the chop.

I think many of you would actually be surprised as to who on here does the sooking. No one see's the emails George and I get, and to be honest it can be come pretty difficult at times.

We receive a number of emails regarding inappropriate, stirring and childish behavior, and to be honest I'm not sure how to keep everyone happy.

Any thoughts on this?

Admin are you kidding me?....folk ACTUALLY send you behind closed door emails complaining about the banter delivered here?....I'm aghast....it's banter...it's footy....it's a PUBLIC FORUM....geez it's laughable!!

name these folk then Admin.....that is one simple way of stopping these petty sooky emails coming your way.....name and shame them.......no one likes a sook.....show the content of these emails.....and expose the whingers, they will soon stop whinging to you if they know they are gonna be exposed!

these princesses need to suck it up.....and suck it up fast!!

And bring back Johnno. I couldn't give a flying fig that he bangs on about the same subject over and over. It's only his opinion. Like Clint said, "opinions are like ars*holes, everybodies got one"

Dazzler my opinion is once again we are getting found out by our lack of quality talls in key possies and i reckon another mid that can score.
Its alright getting tons of touches around the ground but as a mid you also have to have the ability to kick goals.
Look at the top teams there mids can score and score heavily,we are too reliant on Bevan and Stack to get the bulk of our goals!
Unfortunately this coaches game plan revolves around everyone being up the ground,if you play "Pagens paddock" then you need a team of speedsters with a big motor and we dont have that type of presonel.

Dazzler, agree with most of what you say.

Busher was coming back from sidelines again (1 or 2 weeks I think?), he seemed to be struggling from a fitness point of view in the reserves on Saturday.

I may be wrong but I'm not too sure we can expect miracles from just yet.

It seemed strange to me that they played Johnston a bit forward or did it just seem that way?

No Johnson spent plenty of time in the forward line on Saturday. Defensive forward role maybe? Along with Hunt who got sent onto Hams you'd have to say it didn't work if that was what they were trying to do.

Agree 30+, absolutely no doubt we need more goal kicking midfielders. There's a bloke in the 2's who loves a goal, is good at getting behind the opposition press and has footy smarts and that's Joel Leeson and he needs to come into this side soon.

Michael Mather had the job as the defensive midfielder on Saturday and you'd suggest by the number of marks taken by their midfielders inside 50 (Robinson in particular) he wasn't able to handle that job. Lost count of the number of times their midfielders were inside their 50 and ours were hanging around the middle of the ground spectating.

He's deserved his go Mather but when you've got kids like Hug and Collard who consistently rack up 8+ tackles a game you have to give them a go.

Be interesting to see how they structure up this week against Subi who love to get huge numbers behind the ball and who love to switch the ball out of defence. They drove us to the wire last time and we're not playing anywhere near as well now as we were then. I really hope the selection committee takes a long hard look at selections this week and goes for horses for courses...and shows some respect to the very obvious way the opposition wants to play!!! It's all very well wanting to play your game but you have to be able to counter the opposition's way of playing as well.

So why was Ali Smith offered up for the Wes Lammie deal does he lack the right sort of character or was it mutual, I have no reason to doubt this info I know the person well that told me this and there's no reason for me to not believe him.

It would make no sense to me at all offering Ali Smith for Lammie. Ali and Hodgey are the only midfielders that we have who can consistently rack up centre clearances. If that was the deal why wouldn't Swans take it?
Perhaps it was Swans who made the offer and Perth refused.

Dazz, I would agree with you on Busher except that we need to remember that he played no footy last year, had 2 hip operations, and was not able to do a pre-season this year.
He has no work in his legs from being idle for so long and has felt the pinch in the games that he has played. My understanding was that he was suffering from the dreaded major soreness and was rested for a couple of weeks. He certainly looked a bit out of sorts in the ressies on Saturday.
I agree that he is our best option up forward but, sadly, I doubt that we will see him back to his best this season.

If that's true then I am struggling to understand the logic in it. Smith on his day is our best midfielder. I had heard that Pickering wasn't a big fan. Look at the support cast in midfield recently, apart from Hodge we have struggled. O'Sullivan is really a borderline league player, Florio was poor on saturday. White has been ok but Bateman has not had a big impact thus far.
