If it is true i assume Ali Smith doesnt want to be at Perth next season or now for that matter.
It could be an "Elari" situation like last season where he didnt want to be at Perth and gave us nothing.
Iknow who'd be the winner out of that swap if it was to go ahead and it wouldnt be Perth.

Hey PN was this deal supposed to happen before Lammie had walked from Swans??

Cesspit the guys that started the season like a house on fire are being found out at the business end of the year.
I just hope supporters havent fallen for the trap again of over-rating some players abilities...imo we have our fair share of foot soldiers that some class as very good footballers.

It would make no sense to me at all offering Ali Smith for Lammie. Ali and Hodgey are the only midfielders that we have who can consistently rack up centre clearances. If that was the deal why wouldn't Swans take it?
Perhaps it was Swans who made the offer and Perth refused.

I suppose it comes down to who you believe Smokey, like I said I trust the person who told me and he would be in the know.

I really thought our main problem was the ball coming out of the forward line the second it got in their. Whos fault is that?

We need a lot more off Tunbridge who when good is very good. And I think Ali Smith is still a little injured. Stack to attack like Chris Mayne when the ball doesn't go his way would be good and Reimers to stop waiting for his opponent to make a mistake Instead to make his opponent make a mistake.

It's hard to say TFAF as with a performance like the that means no one is safe. I won't say who could go out as to go with my above statement you could pick anywhere between 5-12 players that had poor games on the weekend.

Here's who could come in:

Joel Leeson has the runs on the board in the reserves over the last month. Averaging close to 22-23 possessions and 2 goals a game.

Kieran Hug has broke through for two LEAGUE games this year and has been in the extended squad of 25 a fair bit this season.

Michael Sinclair played reserves on the weekend after spending majority of the season so far in the League team.

And then there's the players that have played 2-5 League games this season that could also come into calculations.

It all depends on match ups and who the coaches think are best suited to certain Subiaco players.

You are right there 30plus in the fact that we have our fair share of foot soldiers. In saying that, these foot soldiers like the team performed extremely well in the first seven games this season. Since then IMO we have taken our foot off the pedal a little bit and have stopped doing the things that we did in these opening rounds that made the rest of the competition stand up and take notice. The players that were playing well are now doing ok but then so is the team.

Hopefully in the last seven games we can see a return to the form that we saw in the first seven of this season.

IMO we need a genuine midfielder with excellent foot skills and an ability to kick 15-20 goals for the year.

Two quality KPP would also be on the shopping list over the summer. Josh Smith would be the number one player I would target, however being a 10 point player, we might have to give up a couple of 3 point players or 5 point players if we have any. Smith has the runs on the board at WAFL level and you know what you are going to get for the 10 points.

The other KPP position could either be a ruckmen with WAFL experience or a young key back. Two ruckmen that are only worth 7 points from memory is Wes Lammie and Andrew Ruck. I don't think the FULL STORY has been told about Wes walking from Swans and TBH I don't think anyone will know unless they work at Swan Districts. Ruck from all reports was shopped around last off season but chose country or suburban football instead. Is he interested in playing WAFL again? Regardless, I would still invite him down to do the first 6 weeks of preseason to see is he's fair dinkum about it. If he is then he is a very good ruckmen that can teach Eyres, Leyendekkers and Sandilands a lot.

Only turned 17 this year BH and still has 1-2 years of colts left I think. He is eligible to play State 18's next year if he is good enough to make the squad. I would have him see out the year in the colts and if he is good enough and form warrants selection, play him in the last 2-3 games in the reserves. Let him do another preseason and see where he is this time next year.

Clem Smith will have 1 more year of Colts in 2014. If you draw a comparison with Dean Kent he played only 1 game of Reserves late in the year for Perth (2012) then drafted to AFL. The Dees don't tend to move Colts players to League all that often. Any one name a player in the past few
years?

Yep Myers played the last 7 games of the 2007 season and averaged 23 disposals.

Conca played 5 games in the second half of 2010 averaging 18.4 disposals and 5.8 marks.

O'meara played the last 3 games of the 2011 season and kicked 4 goals on debut. I remember watching that game and thinking this kid is special.
