Josh Edwards has shown he can compete as a  ruckman at WAFL level. It was only an injury that cruelled his season last year.
Add Broadbent, similar in size and at last our ruck stocks are promising. Both only 20/21 with potential growth and experience.
 

Yes, things are a lot brighter.
I was considering not renewing the membership things looked so bad.
Not now, renewal will be done.
Parfitt not only replaces Thompson but adds a bit again (I think).
I reckon Broadbent is a really good pick up.
I'd like to add Culley.
He destroyed last year.
Thorne has been a thorn to us as well.

He is great value there, but i fear we might have to use him down back now that Avery is gone. IMO he is the only one capable of those crucial intercept marks. It's a bit like when Busher returned a few years ago - we needed two of him.

Speaks well doesn't he? When was the last time we had an experienced full time football manager at our club? Hopefully we keep him on a long-term capacity like the setup Swans have with Phil Smart and Dean Turner at East Perth.

Yes, it's a breath of fresh air to have someone with footy know how.
It's the most important position in the club.
Hopefully he can turn around our retention rate.

We copped a fine a couple of years ago for announcing or placing a player on our list from a from a rival club before he was cleared. Someone dobbed us in.

I don’t want to put a dampener on things,but Brandon Parfitt at 26 years of age with over 130 AFL games of AFL experience behind him,almost seems over qualified to be playing WAFL football.The only other player recruited with similar credentials that springs to mind is Andrew Krakouer,and those were the days when we didn’t have these silly extra drafts,so you want Parfitt to play well but not too well as he may be hard to keep.
