It will be interesting to see who lines up in the scratch match against South on Saturday.
I don’t think Thompson has even trained with the squad yet, so he could be a while away before he is fit to play. I hope he’s not another Josh Smith.

Yet another Royal lands at the Demons. Jack Cooley. 22, 192cm. Played 28 league games and gets plenty of the pill. Is there a player swap pending? Strange on the eve of the season. Maybe good mates with Joshua Hubbard?

Probably more of a midfielder, DD. Solid body who won't take a backward step. 192cm 86kg.

There will be many East Perth supporters disappointed that he won't be wearing black and blue.

From what I heard, they may be headed to Carey Park. But I cannot be sure.

Cooley sounds like a good get who should have an immediate impact. His draft profile describes him as an inside bull with the following strengths: "Clearances, contested work, athleticism, size, upside, big game player". He will be a direct replacement for Paul Pascu but with the added benefit of 28 games under his belt. 

Jacob Feist has also appeared on our list. Ex-EF ressies player 190cm / 88kg / 19. Interestingly he lead their ruck in the ressies for the first half of last year. I'm pretty sure he was playing last Friday in the yellow team in the forward line
