He’s got a younger brother Benjamin who’s been at the club for a few years and done all the pre season training with us.

Probably best to wait till Barra puts up another FB pic DG to confirm that.....or not.

I went to training but the Eagles took over Lathlain mate with a scratch match and the Perth girls in the Rogers Cup were training on the outer oval. Bumped into the West reporter who was waiting to get in who wrote the story yesterday that confirmed Stubbs was staying put and had been to Lathlain twice this week. 

He said Perth players and coaches had a meeting last night that all clubs have with the WAFL so no training last night.

Why would Barra need to double up on his Facebook post confirming Stubbs was back? I’m more interested in getting an update on Townsend’s story on 91.3fm Freezin. I don’t doubt Stubbs “explored his options” after training with Fremantle.

It wouldn’t have been a good look for Fremantle if as a result of a WAFL player being invited to train on then released to go back to his WAFL club, ends up requesting a trade to Peel instead.

Meaning that playing at Peel is going to be tempting to WAFL players like Stubbs who get invited as train ons? I think the WAFC needs to bring in a rule that you can't switch clubs after try outs.  

Yep got no doubt that’s what Stubbs was thinking while he was training with Fremantle.

I think the reason new recruit Charlie Thompson isn’t on the list is he is on the long term injury list which is a bit of a worry but it’s only pre season. I believe he came here with an ankle injury. Ditto for Jayden Hunter why he’s not currently on the playing list but is tracking well and could hold down CHF if his rehab is successful.

Disturbing news on Charlie Thompson. Still time to get him back on track some time for early games.
Pleased to hear Jayden Hunter is tracking for a return. He has talent and could easily hold down CHF or even CHB. He has been out of WAFL footy for a couple years. Hopefully he has built up his body strength and can be a key player for us.
