Apparently ex Collingwood player and EF captain Mark McGough and current Subiaco colts coach Chayce Creedy have appllied. Subi won the colts premiership last year and are in the hunt this year after finishing 3rd. McGough I think is a teacher at Guildford Grammar and coaching their school football team.

Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Makes for grim reading. Then you add Spalding 103 (33/72) 32%, and Moss 34 (7/27) 20.6%. And, for what it's worth, interim coaches who have returned 0/16. (Williams 0/14; Armstrong 0/2). TFAF's figures don't include 1990-94, where we won a reasonably creditable 34/84 at 40%; 1999-00, 8/38 at 21% (including the G Armstrong 2000 season with 1 win from 18), and 2008, which was a passable 7 wins, 12 losses and a draw.

It really is hard to see why any coach would choose to come to Perth over EP or SD. Our list profile is such that any coach would have to resign himself to looking towards 2025 as the earliest possible time to even think about finals. As against that, part of the problem Moss had was that he took over when the club had some real hope of building on the enthusiasm generated by 2020. A new coach will be under no pressure at all for al least two years, other than to produce a more competitive team. I reckon most fans would accept 6-8 wins with a percentage of around 75 over the next two years.

Who was 1990-1994 Ted. My info garnered from all over the net. Couldn't find it all in one spot, hence the jump around. Any way as you can see McMahon was right up there amongst our best. Wiley's at nearly 50% a lot better than most of us realised too.

TFAF, it was Ken Armstrong in 1991-93. Tom Mullooly in 1990. I'm sure 2008 was Eastaugh's third season.

There is a hint that Subiaco and Beau Wardman maybe parting ways. That will make it four clubs seeking a new coach.
Interesting times. Plenty of options for potential coaches.

Ken Armstrong made 'the five' in the 1990s--25 wins plus a final

Your spot on there DD.You will lose South Perth and Belmont+Victoria Park. But in a decades time your player participation will most likely triple in your junior zones.
And will force the Wafc to rezone around the new ground recloation. After  all  it's about taking the game to new growth locations, like Peel and West Perth.

I follow the PFC not the Armadale FC. Not having a bar of it - Soz DD

I have to agree here TFaF.  I support Perth. not Armadale. Most people who are considering a move to Armadale district are doing so because of the growth factor of the area. But one factor they are failing to understand that volume is not the only requirement in  a zone. Demographics have to also be considered. Lets be honest more $$$ influential areas provide the "most" dedicated and available footballers.  This a major factor why Subi and Claremont have been so successful over such a long period. We should hold onto Vic Park, South Perth, Lathlain and surrounding suburbs at all costs. They are the areas where we will produce players.  I'm not saying we wont get gems in the outer suburbs, but how many will play 100 league games?
