FMD forget the fkn umpires.
We give away dumb stupid free kicks because we don't know how to tackle.
And then others from undisciplined acts.
They worked far harder than we did and the scoreboard flattered us.
I thought Davis played quite well at times but yes diabolically turned the ball over as he does regularly.
He is not the only one.
We are constantly under pressure and panic kick constantly.
We were done over in the ruck again by a big body.
Another season of wasted time.
Time for us to receive some communication from the Club.
And some news about what they are going to do about it.
Liked the fact Moss at least tried a couple of things with Sinclair and Giblett up forward.
I figure he may be measuring a few blokes.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

The wheels have well and truly fallen off, the only hope is with no wheels hopefully the bus grinds to a halt before we reach the end of the cliff. Heard today the old grandstand and facilities won't be coming down at the end of the year as planned. The development is on hold.

We couldn't have tested the microphone before we handed it to the Aboriginal Elder before he started talking during the smoking ceremony could we? Seeing the office girl run out with new batteries in her hand to put in the mic was comical, then the security guy just stands next to him with the microphone in his hand that is now working. Can we do anything right?

A day out at Lathlain is like watching an episode of HR Puff n Stuff with Cling and Clang the clumsy cops bumping into each other. The only thing missing was was Witchy Poo and Freddie the Flute? Maybe he is the ground announcer? It's light entertainment I guess. Trouble is some of us go there with high hopes we might be a successful club one day. I cringe whenever there is some kind of ceremony or presentation, shit like this always happens.

No doubt injuries have derailed our season. With the two today, that's now 21 out. I think we won't be able to field a full reserves team next week. That said, we have lost 4 home games to SD, PT, EF and EP. Surely we should have won at least two of those. My worry is what this will do to the mindset of players who may be tossing up whether to play on. We can't afford a serious player exodus. We need to convince our key players to stick around and attract at least two top notch recruits - players no older than 26 in the vein of Bolton, Fisher, Kitchin - plus another 3 or so good solid players. Kent and Conca may fit the latter category but not the former.

Worm, I think it would be a bonus to the club if the reserves could have a shot at GF. Anything to boost spirits given that players and supporters alike must be quite demoralised. I think we may as well forget about beating SD next week, given that two reserves players will need to go up to the league. After that is WC, so that is a handy bye for the reserves. The following week, 7 August, may see up to 5 players return: Yeo, Langlands, Meloncelli, McCarthy and Richardson. Hitchcock may be back the week after. That's about it. DBW may be fit for the last game, but is there much point in bringing him back for that? So with a few players back, they may be a real chance. On the other hand, with more injuries at either level, both the league and reserves may struggle to win another game.

Look everyone on here knows that I was of the view that nothing would change/was changing for the better under the new Prez and CEO. I didn’t like the process to appoint Moss and well a lot of things.

But come on people how could you predict the God awful run of injuries and then the umps today in a game decided by a couple of kicks in the end.

The PFC has two jobs at moment. Make a profit and publicise the unfairness of zone (and that we need better equalisation measures).

That’s us. This admin same as others really, maybe from what I hear a bit worse.

Communication terrible. Match day experience worse. CEOs kid on the team.

But njuries v unusual and not their fault . And umps today normal except they cost us one.

People keep thinking someone can march in and turn things around with smarts etc.

Off the field we’ve had that man, the late great Brian Lawrence.

On the field we need a new zone. Simple.

And along the way we should win games like today. If umps don’t fuc us over.
Hate to say it STT but I'm sure you blokes have poached the curse from us, you know, similar to the days when we could never manage a golden era

Whilst Jordan Reid competed ok and did a few good things yesterday, he got smashed in the ruck contest 54 to 18. At 195 cm he is not a ruckman, pinch hitter at best but that is if he has the skills to hold down a key position or play as a tall big bodied mid, which he doesn’t.

My fear is people at the club rate him much higher than we do and are already saying he is the future, such is the standards and expectations at this football club. He is a Eyres clone who gathers a bit more of the football but has the exact same weaknesses as Eyresy. Poor overhead, struggles to even hold onto chest marks and below average hand foot skills. Seems to panic with ball in hand.

I heard a comment in pre season that he will take over from Eyres when he retires in a couple of years. No mention of DBW in that comment. FMD that reminds me of when I arrived at Lathlain for a meet the coach function to meet Andrew Jarman. An ex president (not at the time), said Damian McMahon will be his assistant and take over when Jarman’s contract expires in two years.

Remember that STD?

Putting some perspective on this game I thought EP looked the better side for most of the game. Quicker and cleaner with the ball and always likely to win comfortably. Jones killed us on the ball.
With 19 senior players out with injuries and 2 more off the park early in first quarter our boys did well to only lose by 9 points.

Perth have 63 on the senior list. Of the 21 injuries 2 were injured in the game yesterday. We did not need to bring up any colts players. Masten and Taylor still on the list but they will come off .
On the other hand  there were some colts boys given the chance with the ressies who had a good win.
