I’m not privy to fitness of guys coming back; but still don’t reckon you’d risk anyone underdone, especially not midfielders. I’m also not disputing that we tested players against Subi who obviously didn’t pass. But with Taylor out and Fisher out of that team I reckon you can only bring Rogers in and maybe Sinclair and Gibblett. Assuming we bring in McPartland. That’s 4 changes.

PD, Gibba is still 2 weeks. I agree it's a risk, but one we have to take. The team that played Subi minus Taylor, but adding McPartland and Rogers, even Sinclair, will be a weak team. Given we played guys like Browne, Henderson, Hayward and Hitchcock forward at times against Subi, do you not think we would get better value out of Masten, Grey and Yeo in a forward role? That is, if they are not fit enough to play mid? Would those guys fumble and fall over running into an open goal with a 10m head start on their opponent? Would they average less than 8 disposals? If the answer is no, they must play.

Just watched the blog.
Masto and Frase indicated that they would get through training and play.
Also indicated that Taylor would probably come up.
Gray and Busher should come up as well.
Add Rogers from suspension.
As for Yeo, he has played 3 ressies games so why wouldn't you play him.
Potentially 7 inclusions.
Yay

Yes, promising news. I suspect that they may take a cautious approach with the injured players so we will see what develops tomorrow when we see the selected squad. We have a heavy schedule after EF so it is a must win fixture. After that hopefully we may be back to having a full squad available.
Rogers a definite, Yeo maybe, Frase, Masten, Busher and Grey.
Taylor would be a surprise if his injury was a punctured lung. The boys sort of joked about him. Maybe the main problem was just  bruised ribs. If so he could be good to go. Not sure how close Fisher and Sinclair are.

This is off topic and I apologise in advance as I don't think my question deserves its own thread but can anyone tell me why WCER doesn't play its home games at Lathlain on the weekends when the Dees are playing away? It would mean additional gate and bar revenue for Perth Footy Club and be logistically easier for WCE to play every second weekend at Lathlain instead of every game away. I'm sure it's been covered before but seems really odd to me.

Yes but why? It doesn't make a whole lot of sense as Perth is missing out on revenue as a result.

Nothing to do with Perth.
All home games are at the opposition's home ground.
Was one of the trade off's to allow them in.

Subi held Perth up from finalising that arrangement. Something along the lines of ‘We’re the only club that’s allowed to benefit from ground sharing’
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

I doubt Taylor will be available I think the boys were throwing a few red herrings out there in that video. I reckon Sinclair will be right to go but too valuable to risk if he’s not 100%. McInness and Busher will be massive in’s if both are available to strengthen up our spine. I’d keep Jack Steel in there to back up Eyres and leave McInness as a permanent forward from a long layoff. EF might be missing Strnadica.
