Welcome home officially Haydn. Versatility is the key, these types are rare. 10k is the maximum transfer fee. Bush was contracted so Claremont were not obligated to release him, 20k was their asking price I heard, we met in the middle and paid 5k overs. A sensible agreement by both parties.

We’ve managed to get 3 experienced and proven WAFL players back to the club in the last 2 years that have cost us 3 points, Rogers, McInness and now Busher. Add a 4th when/if Elijah Taylor resumes in June. Fingers and toes crossed on that one.

DD, we have wanted an experienced tall, versatile and proficient key position player for a long time . We have searched and searched without success. It was likely that the best chance would have been to snare one from VFL or SANFL but that would have cost  us 10 or 12 points not to mention re-location costs on top of transfer fee and salary. Highly unlikely to entice that sort of player without other incentives.
Out of the blue we gain a home grown player who fits our needs like a hand in a glove. Sure we paid top dollar but it cost only 1 point and no re-location cost and he lives within a stone's throw from his future work place.
When you add it all up it was a cheap deal overall to get what we have needed and he came to us and asked if he would be  welcome back into the fold.
Answer: "Hell, yes."

Claremont did not have to entertain a single thing with a contracted player and rightly so - however it appears that on this occasion the club has decided to sever it's contractural hold and clear this player
Will be a good pick up for Perth if it gets done as folks are saying

Yes Smokey I liked when it was first reported they quoted him as wanting to come back to his original club Perth "if they will welcome me back". Shows maturity and I guess he knew there was some bitterness when he left us before but unlike Leggxit, he was having a torrid time with injury and maybe he felt a change of scenery would be beneficial and it worked. Seems to have a had a relatively injury free career at the Tigers.

And perfect timing having lost our two key tall targets, particularly McInness. He's shown he is one of he most versatile players in the WAFL.

Yes a matter of the player approaching PFC and asking would we take him back.
So no poaching by the Club.
Don't have a problem paying a transfer fee.
We would have got one from Claremont I would have thought.
Sounds like a compromise by both Clubs, for which they both can be commended.
Transfer done according to the West.

Fingers crossed Busher can hit that MRP scoreboard in McInnes temporary injury absence....didn't realise he was only 191 cm tall....appears to be one of those guys who  plays taller then their stats state....

Given last week's performance, unless there is an overall improvement he may only be a step in the right direction. I wouldn't like to put too much on his shoulders.

Good point VPB. Whole team needs to lift after that sub standard performance.
