Wonder if Perth will pursue it, if it goes to a Leggett like tribunal....surely with Lee, Maister and Waterman gone, Cl will see Busher as a priority KP player to their 2021  chances....

Maister hasn't played in the WAFL since mid-2018.
Lee played only 3 games in 2020.

No surprise that fkwit has no idea. The view aint great from the Waikato Grandstand.
Lol that’s a pearler Daz but I was thinking maybe we should cut our friend Frozen a bit of slack, there’s probably a fairly long delay getting The West delivered all the way over there, especially during Covid.

A lot will depend on the remaining time of his contract. If he is still under contract, and I presume that he is, he would be bound to Claremont at least until the end of 2021 season if not longer.
That puts him in the same position as Leggett was in. The only GLARING difference is that Leggett was not disenchanted with Perth but rather was head-hunted and enticed vigorously by EF and he was 5 years younger than Busher. And EF were able to get him cleared following an unfortunate slip-up by Perth.
Busher IS disenchanted with Claremont and has nominated his original club Perth as his preferred option. He was not enticed by Perth. It was his preferred option.
IMO there is no reason why Perth should not pursue the matter all the way...whatever it takes.

if under contract claremont should play hardball.best 22player walks out two weeks before the start of the year is poor form.hard to replace.if he wants to play wafl and not at claremont maybe tell him he can play anywhere but perth.

That makes no sense at all, Chaddy. If Claremont are prepared to release him and Perth meet their terms, what business is it of theirs where he plays? If, say, Claremont put a $20k figure on Busher and both P and EP are prepared to pay, how could C refuse our money, but take yours? If he's released from his contract he is, by definition, no longer contracted and C would have no ability to dictate which other club he plays for. That said, I agree entirely that it is poor form to walk out on the eve of the season. I see Perth's role in this as entirely neutral. We tell Claremont that we are happy to have Busher, and to discuss terms with them, but if C refuse to negotiate, that is their prerogative.

DD, don't forget to give Razzle a thwank you mate...gotta love Smokesters red n black blinkers....only glaring difference is that it's all ok to the fella, because it's a contracted player wanting to join Perth and not leave Perth....quite surprised that the apparently "happy" Leggett still didn't want to return to Perth despite Masto and Fraser's heart felt pleas....pretty sure I read that in the copy of The West I received on my lawn this morning DD....some how it got redirected to Waikato for some reason....probably due to the incompetence of Smokesters mate Dale Ballntyne.

Chaddy if the shoe was on the other foot mate, the Perth thread would farking implode on here..as it did for their apparently happy chappy Leggett ...LOL

Exactly, we don’t give a stuff who he goes to that is Bushers choice, but whatever club it is will have to satisfy our demands.

The monts  don't need the money so it will have to be a swap

No, we always need the money. The good times may be rolling at the moment but they won’t last forever

I can't think of anyone I would want to swap for Busher apart from fringe players, who Claremont probably wouldn't want anyway. Again, his age has to be a factor - I rate him, but we can't give up a good young player for a guy that only has a couple of years left. If we can reach agreement with Claremont, so be it, if not, we walk away It's that simple. Although from the perspective of EF fans, I think that Claremont are obliged to release him if he really, really wants to go, like a lot.

why  are   claremont obliged.claremont need to do the best for claremont not busher.

Hilarious comments from the delusional Perth people. Apparently Leggett was happy at Perth, thats why he left. I'm pretty sure Claremont will do the right thing- only shit clubs can't negotiate a deal that betters themselves in these situations
