Then why did he do an entire pre season under the new coach. Should have left when Harris wasn't reappointed.

Definitely walked out in the McDud era. Mitchell isn’t the type to drop his performance so no surprise there, if anything got a point to prove. 

Had a brief chat with Bush, he said he’s open to playing forward or any position the coach wants him. I reckon he might be the swing man we haven’t had for a long time. Always handy to have those types that can play effectively at both ends. We know he can play forward, he’s a strong mark and good kick. Busher will give us a lot of options. 

Transfer fee $15k. Cheap. Cannot play v Claremont this week but is training.

15k for a 30 year old is cheap? That’s the highest you can pay....he’s also your own player- you’ve bought back one of your own at a premium to what you got for him when he went to Claremont.

If he puts you in premiership contention....maybe worth it.

Good for a contracted player that we did not poach. He came to us.
Hopefully at least 3 seasons out of him. 
Why would we not take him back pray tell.

The justification is laughable- poached v not poached- means nothing when a contract is in place. Claremont have just done what Perth (and any other club) should have done. Negotiated a deal. Definitely have him back- 1 pointer, very good player. But it's not cheap. Win / Win I'd say.

I was thinking the same thing Kay Cee.  It almost sounds like the Eagles and Tim Kelly...Let him go to Geelong to start with then happy to shell out 2 first round draft picks and $800k a year to get him back to WA.  You couldn't make this stuff up.
