Not sure what to make of today. Pleased we responded and fought game out. Couple of undisciplined off the ball free kicks throughout day may have cost us. Though we played some really good footy at times.
No sinclair hurt. Thought Stubbs looks good, not sure what his stats were but he did enough, out marked three opponents on one occasion, good pressure applied when didn’t have ball and was robbed of a great mark in final quarter in front of goal. Delahunty moves into number one ruck for me, Eyres while a workhorse and great clubman doesn’t offer enough. Two dads must come in.
Brady Grey and Fisher both outstanding.

4 things cost us: 1. Second quarter - when will we ever develop an ability to stop a run on? 2. Letting Keitel off the chain; 3. Missing easy chances for goal - Hendo, Nicholas and Fisher all missed ones they should have kicked in the last; 4. Umpiring - 17 frees to 10 in a close game, including gifting them a goal in the last. Even the West wrap-up mentioned that one. That comes on the back of a 27-14 free count last week - I think we need to meet with the umpires adviser for what is euphemistically called "clarification."

Still, happy with the effort. Fisher outstanding. The beauty of his game in the midfield is that when Sinkers return we can play him in defence where I still think he plays his best footy. A few of his intercept marks may have denied Keitel some goals. Dela also very good. I think Eyres place in the team has to be questioned. Same number of hit outs, but otherwise: Dela 12 disposals, 5 marks, 3 inside 50 and a goal. Eyres 5 disposals, and zero on the other three stats. Also in desperate need of a classy small forward. Richardson is doing well, but though he's there to provide pressure, Hendo just doesn't have the polish to be a forward.

Any news on who played well in the reserves?

Perth kicked 3 goals from umpiring blunders and the man handling of Lourey should have pushed that free kick count well over 25. Go Falcons !!!

Brave effort by the boys. Today Delahunty showed he is going to be a very good WAFL player and Sam Stubbs did enough on debut for mine to indicate his potential value to the side.
Richo adds a lot of grunt in the forward line but we also do need a crumbing small forward.
For me, Two Dads comes in next week and if Sinclair is fit he goes back in defence and Fisher into the middle.

What exactly are you suggesting Leedy?? Surely not that the free kick count should have been 25 to 10??? If you think Lourey was manhandled it was nothing compared to what was happening to some of our players. IMO, your lot got the rub of the green from the umpires. I was surprised that the count for you was only 17.
