As I understand the rules .... Garlett can be immendiately delisted , The AFL side would have to then apply to upgrade a rookie in that delisting's place (unlikely given their list quality etc )

BUT .... Garlett would not be able to play in SANFL or WAFL or NEAFL because the current season is in progress

Interesting to see what pans out

I have no opinion on the young bloke - just hope nothing untoward happens to him out of all of this

The AFL kinda reminds me of the old Pink Floyd chestnut ..... "we're all just another brick in the wall...."

Surely his welfare is up to him. Why cant people tke RESPONSIBILITY for them selves these days. My guess he would have more mentors and people to help than so so many of the kids out there today

Wouldn't it be funny if we had to get the consent of East Perth to play him this weekend given the silly number our management team tried to do on Johnno last week.

I am correcting myself here ..... Garlett can & looks likely to play for Swan Districts in the near future .... relisting application by SWANS has been confirmed as done already
Just awaiting official AFL delistment & re-contracting by Swans .... normal process I believe
