Looking at the latest Newspoll out today Sco Mo is in a world of pain.

Going to be interesting if and when Albo is PM and what pressure he puts on Sneakers to open up.

I have looked after the vulnerable, listened to their life stories, dreams, hopes and fears, many handed early life sentences, none of their asking or doing......I have worked on the frontline for 30 years, seen many a career start brightly then extinguished through fatigue and stress before my very eyes.....

I do challenge you to step up, don PPE, get your hands COVID dirty, and see both sides of the story that I see......speak to the vulnerable....young and old .....life is precious regardless of ones age......by seeing both sides of the COVID argument, one would hope you would be less flippant and more empathetic with what comes out your mouth.

Because out of work I am that parent who hasn't seen his eldest son for over 2 years due to COVID.....I am the parent who would love to see both his sons, do what I did and backpack through Europe, USA, Asia and the UK in their 20s......I have family/friends in Aust, UK and my wife has family/friends in the UK who we both haven't seen in 2 years....missed funerals, weddings, 21sts/50ths..so it's tough I get it....but I also get it there are folk out there doing it far tougher then me with vulnerable health dispositions......who would be farked if they got COVID, especially with our current health set ups....



 

No maybe you are the selfish one along with a few others on here that thinks it's ok to shut off peoples freedoms that you enjoyed in your 20's so bed ridden and wheelchair bound old folk can drag out their last days a bit longer. The younger generations and future generations will be paying for this selfish attitude long after you and I are gone. Death is a fact of life, get over it and get over your selfishness. But hey i guess it makes you feel like a good egg showing empathy while I am apparently so flippant and lacking empathy. 

At least the 70, 80, 90 year old's a have lived a full life most of us can only dream of making it to and some young kids never get that chance. For me there is the selfishness in those who have lived a full life but want more at the expense of those just starting out.

BC... one could say your concern about your booster waning in efficacy as borders stay closed, is being a tad more subjective then objective in thinking......as for taking exception to differing views from my own.....what's wrong with providing another side to the COVID debate...a side to the debate many folk on here, probably don't get to see  first hand.......not saying my view should be heard any louder then others, just think it's important to hear both sides of that COVID debate......

But, hey we all have our  own agenda's here, yours BC is boostet efficacy, mine is an ever increasing work load and reduced R&R  availability.....DD is concerned about today's young and healthy being deprived living a life they should be entitled to live.....what will be will be I guess.....hopefully NZ and WA do get back to normality sooner rather then later.....

I would really love to visit family friends in WA and share a beer with your good self & SS at a Subi/EF game.....or with DD and Smokester in the pig pen watching Perth v EF sooner rather then later.

 

Bazza as a labour voter that is not something I would relish Albo is just not upto it, I suppose he could surprise but not sure miracles are likley.

The trouble is there is no real alternative.

The saving grace for both sides is the price of Iron ore at the moment. it adds to the coffers

Yeah I always dream of living through a depression and a world war and being drafted to Vietnam

Plenty of vulnerable young people who deserve living a life as much as anyone else out there the same age I guess.....but then again they are  in the minority and worthy sacrificial lambs for the young active majority of today in your eyes DD.

As for those 1500 doctors and specialists and their petition,  have you got a break down of those signed, who actively works on the frontline at this moment in time?

Yep the younger generation has it so hard. 
Cant wait until they are older and can tell their grandkids of the oppression they suffered through at the end of 2021 into 2022, when they couldn't travel interstate without going into quarantine for a week.  
No sure how they will survive.  What a bunch of spoilt princesses

DD.....obviously I am selfish in your eyes....but shutting off "people's freedom" is what Hitler did with the Jews back in WW2, with the concentration camps......are you seriously saying people in WA are experiencing that same level of freedom shackling, by WA's modern day Furhrer?

DD, all I have said is that every person has a right to living their life, irrespective of their age or health. If that's being a selfish empathetic good egg in your eyes.... then so be it.....
