Gee Freez.  After reading your posts over the last several weeks, I'm getting the feeling that Covid is taking its toll on you which is unfortunate but understandable.  In saying that, people in your line of work need to be careful they don't start sounding like the guy who joined the army for all the benefits only to crack the shits when he gets sent to war. Whilst you're very measured in what you say and don't rant or rave, I do get the sense that more and more, you're losing a bit of objectivity and take exception to anyone who doesn't line up with your way of thinking on this issue.  You're on the front line and see more than all of us put together so I'm probably wrong but that's just my takeaway from what I read on here.

BC I have nothing but respect for Freeze's opinions and what he has and is doing, but I'm also concerned as a person in their late 60's and having got my booster about 3 weeks ago, that the longer we wait for the opening and inevitable spike in Omicron numbers, the closer we get to winter and the less effective the booster becomes. I think we need to open up asap and get the worst of it over before winter sets in. The numbers will be worse if we wait until late autumn or winter, so opening late will make things worse for the health system perhaps?

I agree with everything you've said SS. The longer we wait the less effective booster shots become for those of us who had them a few weeks ago in anticipation of 5 Feb. Open up now I say too.

They're all very good questions McBob but then we get into the murky waters of discussing political persuasion and the pro's and con's of each posters preferred political party which was something that brought about the demise of our good friend Sean42. This subject is not about Labor or Liberal, it's about the decisions being made by a Premier who has lost the plot.

Just trying to gauge DD's blind hatred of the premier.  Is it just the border thing that set him off? Or does he have a personal hatred we should know about. 
Even if i thought Mark G had lost the plot over the borders (which i dont) doesn't take away from how good we have had it over the last 2 years in WA.  Some people have short memories.  
For the record i have family in NSW, QLD and the US - none of whom ive seen for the last 2 years  I missed my sisters funeral, my daughters wedding and my cousins wedding (2 separate occasions not to eachother).  I also have very old parents and inlaws here, 1 of who only just survived COVID in 2020.  
But im not selfish, i can handle waiting a bit longer for the greater good.
