Lol you are stretching it too far Baz, can’t see anywhere that says that includes AFL teams. 6 Melbourne teams have just flown to or in the process of flying to Queensland. For those of you that keep pushing for Mark McGowan to stop Melbourne teams coming here, then prepare for own WAFL club’s funeral because it will be on life support if the AFL season grinds to a halt.

I know many people on here have an animosity towards Victoria and Victorians but Scomo was right when he said that Victorias problem is Australias problem because their lockdown is going to impact on everybody in some way. We need to work together co- operatively as Australians to get this situation under control. Up to this point the premiers and the federal government have been generally collaborative and worked together. I find it hard to understand the justification of the federal attorney general pulling in behind Palmers challenge to the WA border closure but this has been one of the few tension points.
We only have to look at the infected swampland of the USA and the states there seemingly competing to see who can have the most number of cases against the backdrop of a complete vacuum in national leadership to see the possible alternative to our model.


I love football but it is a game and totally irrelevant in the current environment. I'm with Bazza, I think they should shut the AFL season down now and send everybody home.

I think the Vic teams in a hub are far easier to control than if they were in their home state staying in their individual homes which is far harder to control. These guys like WC & Freo were initially, are confined to the resort/hub, they get tested nearly everyday so are subject to far more attention than the GP. Now I'm all for a hard line approach to the virus and have supported just about everything that Sneakers has done, we need to keep any Vic person out of our state for the forseeable, but I'm ok with these hard locked down footballers coming in for a hit and run game then straight back to their iso hub. The WC & Freo boys managed it well and both clubs have a chequered history when it comes to player behavior.

Latest news being WA will stop anyone who has been in Victoria in the past 14 days from entering the state.

At least 3 states have received information that several thousand Victorians have fled into their territories , without any form of safety or precaution or care for the places they've fled to , hence the blanket ban
