2 plane loads from CoVIC apparently BC, what is our supposed "hard border" I wonder???

Totally agree not 1 single person from coVIC should be coming across our WA state line!

Been widely reported that 15 incoming flights from melbourne to perth arrived during the week and apparently 2 more inbound the day before yesterday. The state government being embarrassed enonugh to not release how many passengers were on said flights. Only been told is more than a thousand. What made it worse, it's been reported many of the arrivals were openly laughing about how easy it all was to fly across WA's closed border.
It begs the question of how exemptions being true to honest and how many were not?
Hence the premiers statement that was made. Apparently any future exemptions will need the approval of the police commissioner whereas he wasn't really involved in that area previously.
Adding today's figure brings victoria's total for July to just under 1520, and we're only in the second week of the month.

Despite the control measures imposed it just isn't having any effect at all in bringing numbers down
So this clearly indicates there has been mass ignorance of distancing and travel in a large and alarming degree
Very soon there has to be a total lockdown of Victoria to protect everyone else in the country

Hi WAG thanks for your post. Are you saying there was 17 flights from Melbourne to Perth, last week.
Have all those passengers been screened on arriving. Are they in 2 weeks quarantine. We have wasted the last 90 days if these arrivals are walking amongst us in Wa.

Hey BH.I simply cannot believe this has happened. There would have to be a few positive cases on those 17 flights.Like Covid -Dan.McGowan will have to wear this if it turns pear shaped.

Has Victoria gone into a hard lock-down or are they still opening bars, restaurants and cafe's to 20 people? If so they surely need to go into hard lock-down.

So the thousands flocking to WA from Melbourne are they West Aussies returning or are they Victorians fleeing their state?

They must be returning West Aussies DD as at present, only essential workers can come in if you're not a WA resident.

The cycle of behaviour to confirmed cases in both NSW & Victoria is becoming all too regular every day
Two separate Hotels in Sydney have displayed absolutely no regard to our laws , one now has 6 confirmed infections from just one employee , and many more have come into contact with that employee
The other copped a ridiculously small fine for having a waiting line almost 100 long standing shoulder to shoulder
It's come down to these two states as our threat & equally obvious their residents do not pay respect to law
