The WA side had got off the plane at Sydney Airport and were being bused to the SCG for training before a game against NSW....As they drove past Randwick Racecourse on route to the SCG Hoggy politely asked his teammates "Is that where the Melbourne Cup is run"?

BC, I have been doing a fair bit of reading on the Vic situation, apparently Vic Health Dept works differently to al the other states, the States C.M.O. does not have anything like the power he does in other states, Andrews restructured the Public Service to give regional bosses a lot more power, so the central command and control is just not there.

Now hearing a huge percentage of aged care workers are testing positive to Covid in Vic.

Is it right to allow footballers in from CoVIC last minute to play WAFL...good for the comp I know, but if you let one from CoVIC in, then you got to let all in...understand WA folk being allowed back....but surely CoVIC fly by nighters with no intention of staying for more than 3 months are not welcomed?....

Freeze only if they were originally WA boys then I think thats ok after they do 14 days iso at their own expense and are then tested and cleared.

Good question Freeze, you are obviously referring to Coburg forward Sam Lowson's attempt to join SD in the WAFL. I doubt he and Swans will be successful and it will raise eyebrows if he is.

Just last night I saw on the ABC a Perth couple with a young family who moved to Melbourne in March for employment reasons and applied to come home after the guy lost his job. They have done everything right and this was before the recent "harder" border lockdown. So far they have been told they will be denied and they are West Australians.

2 more deaths from the virus just been announced out of vivtoria. Think that takes the national death toll to 110.
