2 plane loads from CoVIC apparently BC, what is our supposed "hard border" I wonder???

Totally agree not 1 single person from coVIC should be coming across our WA state line!

Been widely reported that 15 incoming flights from melbourne to perth arrived during the week and apparently 2 more inbound the day before yesterday. The state government being embarrassed enonugh to not release how many passengers were on said flights. Only been told is more than a thousand. What made it worse, it's been reported many of the arrivals were openly laughing about how easy it all was to fly across WA's closed border.
It begs the question of how exemptions being true to honest and how many were not?
Hence the premiers statement that was made. Apparently any future exemptions will need the approval of the police commissioner whereas he wasn't really involved in that area previously.
Adding today's figure brings victoria's total for July to just under 1520, and we're only in the second week of the month.

Hi WAG thanks for your post. Are you saying there was 17 flights from Melbourne to Perth, last week.
Have all those passengers been screened on arriving. Are they in 2 weeks quarantine. We have wasted the last 90 days if these arrivals are walking amongst us in Wa.

Yes exactly. According to the news report there was 15 inbound flights from melbourne. Then the day the premier made the announcement there being 2 more. One arriving in the morning. The other arriving in the evening before the midnight deadline.
There maybe was some West Ausssies returning home, but many were not. Apparently upon landing at Perth airport, many said passengers were laughing and thought it a bloody joke how easy it is to cross our hard closed border. Hence our state government is now highly embarrassed by it all.
What happens if there is a genuine honest person/ s wanting to come home? It will now be more difficult for them because they'll be put in the same basket as all the idiots??
Apparently they all had temperature checks. Would presume quarantining as well.
But perhaps these people are like millionaires and can do whatever they like?
Another area of grave concern is all these shitty victorian football players that will be allowed to cross our hard closed border!! Why? Or are all these silly pricks now classed as ""essential workers?""
I was also concerned when our health officer said it was western australian's fault because apparently we are becoming 'complacent'. I can quite assure him, not all of us are!

Wow this is really scary stuff.Even Lisa Harvey who has been screaming for a total opening up of the borders. Has changed tact today and called for a total shutdown again.

Yes apparently that's what she said.
I think the less said of WA's flip floppy opposition leader the better.

The 8th consecutive day of triple figures. That brings the monthly total to 1969 thus far.

Breaking news in Sydney has confirmed there is a large area outbreak looming from one Hotel - and a couple of other spotfires forming elsewhere

The suburbs & facilities visited by residents so quickly after being at that Hotel will see the spread go like Victoria if it isn't immediately & severely battened down
Leagues & Bowling clubs are in it and that isn't going to end well given the high patronage

Stand by for NSW
