FMD, no chance of Mark McGowan opening our state border any time soon.

The arrogant prick premier of Vic goes around slagging off another state and it's premier for keeping their state border closed. Pretty clear to see see Vic is a virus ridden festering swamp with a corrupt government that cant even control it's parliamentary members let along manage a state and CV19. He has made a right dick of himself. In saying that I think we are quite safe to open WA/SA/NT borders, all three states/territories have done an equally good job handling the virus, but Victoria can go forth and multiply.

yeh, keep the borders closed and continue to destroy the WA economy, sounds reasonable if they had a brain and at least lifted all the restrictions in place it might make some sense.
why are there still restrictions if the borders are going to continue to be closed ?
good luck to the tourism industry for their future, they'll need it.

Looks like Dans Republic is falling apart, worse Covid figures in the country, infection break outs all over the place, ALP corruption rampant...

We need to keep WA Borders tight from the East, all this bs about it harming the economy, is over hyped, trade and goods have been coming and going whole time.

Bazza, not sure who you source is regarding the economy is not being harmed.
here is a link to the WA tourism website for your own reading on the contribution tourism makes to the WA economy.

Vast majority of that would be local spending, I'd I would be dubious about how many from the East come here as "tourists"..Its piss ant compared to mining/farming to our economy.

You obviously didn’t read the information on the link.
47% is local with overnight stay
12% local day trips
18% interstate
23% international
There is down around 40% and if you reckon that doesn’t have an effect on the economy then luckily you don’t work for treasury.
WA also now has the highest unemployment rate in the country
