Its going to be hard work for the Australian bowlers on that pitch. There is some turn but its very slow and it gives the batsman plenty of time to adjust. When Lyon and Murphy can put on 70 runs for the 9th wicket it is a road and Rohit and Gill looked totally untroubled late in the day.

India may see an opportunity to bat for 2 days, make 600 and then put Australia under the pump on day 5. Lot of water under the bridge till this happens but it is important for Australia to keep taking wickets and not allow large partnerships to develop/

Barring a massive collapse tomorrow, Australia's chances of winning this game are fading away fast. The bowlers stuck to their task and didn't allow India to score quickly but they still only took 3 wickets in the day and India will definitely have their eye on a 100 lead by stumps tomorrow night. This will give their bowlers something to work with on day 5.
For their part Australia must try and dismiss India for as close to 480 as possible as this will limit the opportunity for India to snatch the game on the last day. It means we will still lose the series but 2-1 looks better than 3- 1

Yesterday was where a "coach" provides every ounce of his vast worldly experience to help the team get wickets and pile on pressure

The Australians have nothing much to play for today given that India batted them out of the game on day 4. The bowlers toiled and stuck to their task but they were not good enough to bowl India out on a slow track.
What they must ensure now is that they don't get rolled for a low score and hand India the opportunity to snatch an unlikely victory.

After watching some cricket on the weekend i prefer the wickets of the first three tests and would rate this wicket as poor. What a boring 4 days the batters have been unchallenged

The Indian umpire is so one sided it's not funny. I'd love to see the umpire's call wickets against Australia compared to India.

Tame end to a predictable series. Meanwhile in New Zealand there was another test match finish for the ages. Maybe Australia should drop their arrogant attitude towards our neighbours and visit there more often.

So the stand outs for the Aussies were
Uzzie- Best batsman by a mile
Lyon- recovered from a poor start
Green - pity he only played 2 tests
Murphy - Fine debut
Kuhnemann- Must admit I didn't like the circumstances in which he was picked but he did well
Head- who knows what might have happened if he had played the first test.

Pass marks to
Smith- Captained the side well but below par with the bat
Labuschagne -
Starc
Handscomb - good innings in Dehli
Boland - only played 1 test

Below par
Warner
Renshaw
Carey - Glovework OK but clueless batting.
