Tim David has one year left on his Hurricanes contract. It looks like the Scorchers are going to move Heaven and Earth. To get the AU T20 player back to Wa.
If we finish top we will beat the 6 ers at Optus.Home prelim and final. Our tail is long and Tim would be perfect in the middle order.
Well done to the Nedlands local product for carrying his bat.Running that single last ball of the 19 over was a big mistake.Doesnt look like he has a power game but rotated the strike well.

How about the Brisbane Heat rolling Adelaide in Adelaide.. Defending an under par score.Adelaide with perhaps the best BBL batting line up ever assembled.Alex Carey,Travis Head,Matt Short,Chris Lynn..
I am going to be controversial here and say that the Scorchers already have a "Tim David" type player in Ashton Turner and I reckon Ashton is more effective that David. I think Tim is still a bit hit or miss and I think Turner is more consistent.

I agree Mike I would prefer Turner over David as a finisher in a tight game anyday.
One reason why the WA set up is working well on the field at the moment is we only stick with WA developed talent, excluding Hatzoglou who fulfilled a need we didnt have at the time in a tight bowling leg spinner.
In fact I wouldnt even bother getting out any Internationals unless they fulfill a need that the WA set up hasnt already got, Lyth & DuPlessis were a waste of time and money, should have just stuck with locals like Bancroft, Eskinazi, Connolly etc.
You look at most of the other "franchises" they have players from all other states who seem to be just chasing coin a bit like the washed up internationals they bring out here as well and dont seem to "buy into" the club, its just another short term contract to them before jaunting off on to the next T20 League "franchise"!

Scorchers beaten by a better team  last night. I was distracted by the Fox commentary team of Brendan Julien, Mark Waugh and Brad Haddin. I normally take no notice of biased commentators but these guys took the skill to new levels, especially Haddin who got to the stage of cursing when the Sixers missed a run out. Sounded like he was in the Sixers coaching box. Awful stuff.
All we needed was another a grade Sydney muppet in Brett Lee instead of BJ and we would have had a trio of Sydney flogs!
Notice how these clowns always step around Sydney's shite weather, reckoning it only rains when the Test is on lol....having had to spend a lot of time in both Sydney & Melbourne over the years I can tell you it rains most days there not sparingly!
Could have been worse I guess BH. At least Geoff Lawson is not part of the commentary team!
I would have muted the TV if we had of had Haddin, Waugh, Lee & Geoff (I hate everything WA) Lawson in the comm box Mike!

The other thing to take into account when talking about big hitters and the Scorchers is that they're missing Mitch Marsh and Cam Green who would otherwise be playing now if not injured.  There's 2 of the biggest hitters going around and if you throw Jhye Richardson into the attack as well, they'd be pretty much unbeatable.

You could almost have a complete home grown team.  The middle order you could play around with and Turner and Agar as spinners.

Bancroft
Inglis
Marsh
Hardie
Green
Turner
Agar
Tye
Behrendorff
Richardson
Morris

I'm afraid humility , respect & graciousness are not associated with anything NSW - the legendary Benaud aside , modern NSW just has an abusive culture
Just have a look at their two successive Premiers , one who thought it was a good idea to wear a Nazi uniform and the other who was as currupt as they go
Haddin was one of the worst sledgers on-field we ever had as an Australian cricketer

Hey isnt the Esky a POM?

while we had some brain farts with the batters i think we lost the game in the last ball of our bowling innings - If that went for 1 we would have had a different result
