Once again I thought the Poms bowled pretty well yesterday and were unlucky to keep beating the bat on so many occasions and then were not helped by the keeper Jos Buttler dropping 2 catches from Labuschagne one of which was nothing short of an absolute dolly.
Warner & Labushagne did well to tough it out for the most part of the day/night and it wont be easy first thing today with a new ball only a few overs old to contend with for Marnus & Smith.

love to see Josh Philippe selected to open with Warner - he's a real special talent that has to be selected soon
Harris is finished at test level now
He started as an opener for WA in the Shield mate and is a better batsman now.

He reminds me of a young David Hookes in so many ways mate - and he is a pure talent with an excellent range of shots same as Hookesy
He could be anything given the opportunity

I don't think he could do any worse than Harris, and he has 4 day form for WA with a couple of decent scores batting in the middle order before the big bash break

Needs to have a spell Southy, quality bowlers quickly find out your weaknesses at Test Match level.
You cant have your off stump knocked over twice in 6 balls in the series so far, he needs to go away and work on his stance and footwork at the crease.
Mitch Marsh who is in the form of his career can take his place coming in at 6 and be the fourth seam option as well.

he looks terribly off balance and he is getting his hands to far in front of his body. Granted it was a good ball but it wont harm him to go and do some work. The question is do they release him to the scorchers where he can slog and not work on his technical problem or do they keep him in the squad and smash a heap of overs each day into him with the batting coach

After 26 overs Jimmy Anderson finally breaks through. With Steve Smith in his 90's.The Aussie batsman have been patient. The Poms have bowled ok without luck.
Well done Alex Carey on the maiden test 50.Robinson has bowled well to him.
