With Cummins being available I guess it's down to Richardson or Neser for the third quick spot and with Richo picking up a Michele in the second innings, I'd say he's odds on to be retained.

I would think it was a no brainer BC.
Richo bowls about 10km/h faster than Neser, looks far more penetrating and got good batsmen out to very good balls.
Neser was steady and a lot like Woakes would be far better suited to English conditions but the Poms didnt look overly worried by him!

Richardson was a bit unlucky in the first innings he beat the bat a few times and showed he can bat a bit too - got rewarded in the second innings though
Hazelwood isn't going to come up by the looks of things so keep getting games into the young bloke I reckon
you just can't help thinking how big an opportunity it is to blood a new opener right now

What a disgrace-- only Woakes got a good ball.

Sounds like they might want to be careful of him - bloody sports scientists - he seems to have recovered from his op and as Glenn McGrath and Dennis Lillee used to say - the best thing for fast bowlers is to keep bowling. I think they are scared of losing the toss and bowling 130 overs on a road

BH: Agree on Neser, mate; the captain did not really want to bowl him.

Neser had a hammy about 5 weeks ago so I wonder if they were concerned about his bowling loads?

Interesting that Boland has been included in the squad as cover for Hazlewood  He has always done well on the MCG so he could be parachuted in. Looks like Harris is going to be given the whole series to prove himself and a final assessment made after the 5th test.

The captain in and Neser or Boland 12th man looking most likely and the opener has to do something positive for us
