Not good enough to be in the 8 and obviosly after finishing 13th last season dont look like improving on that..at this stage.

One good thing is Simpson should know now who to keep and who to fick at years end and what sort of player he needs via the draft.

At the start of the season i thought the Eagles would be a 7/8 placed team,no higher than that.
Its a bloody long season and still time to salvage something.

Richmonsd and Carlton have been bigger disappointments imo,finalists from last season,Richmond in particular would have been looking at a top 4 finish.

the Eags seem to be lacking distinctive or interesting features and characteristics. More concerning they appear to be bordering on ineptitude.awkward,clumsy and incompetent are words that come to mine when describing them at the minute.friends we are in very dark place right place now.
so we travel to Launceston to play the Tasmanian Hawks. They fell over the line against GWS and have a caretaker coach right now - so they are not such a happy team at Hawthorn. So maybe the situation is not completely hopeless.

One reject they picked up is playing some good footy and giving them a bit of run is Bennell. Maybe they should play him forward to add some defensive pressure to their forward line, like Mayne, Ballantyne and Walters do at Freo? I don't really want to help them out though, good to seee our cross town rivals who've been cock a hoop for too long rubbishing Fremantle for not having any silverware doing it tough.

Fair assessment anchor, but I don't agree with your wins/losses prediction. Too many of the so called "marquee" players are just not producing anything and if Simmo wants to keep his job, he'll need to have a hard, long look at them come year's end.. Probably is fantastic jb, but unfortunately for you and you mob, it doesn't change the fact that the WCE have silver in the cabinet and Freo have nothing....still

Have to agree with anchor as well on his assessment of the coasters 58. Had a look at who was playing for the Royals today after last nights game and it is scary. There is not much there. West Coast somehow have picked up a lot of CRABS. Gaff is a waste of space, how he ever got draft is beyound me.Priddis try's hard but his disposal and pace is frustrating to watch. Josh Hill is nothing but a front runner dud. I could go on but I would be here all night.
The coasters lack a cousins, Kerr type player who can take controll and do something special to bring the team alive. Last nights effort was nothing short of a disgrace and a embarrassment to the jumper. No fuking HEART!!!!!
