BTB is right. Adam Simpson is 10 games into a senior coaching role after 5-6 years as an assistant. Worsfold was a man that knew what he wanted and he knew how to get it. Nothing against Simpson but I reckon the Eagles could have appointed a senior assistant for a couple of years just to help him out.

The midfield is the obvious area that needs improving. I don't think that the overall squad was left in a poor state but there's definitely a case to say this side on paper is good enough to play finals.

I reckon there is a strong case to be mounted for the trading of Andrew Gaff, Chris Masten to try and get an inside player or one with pace. Callum Sinclair is another who could be offered back to a Victorian club and you might be able to get a pick between 25-35 for him.

I think the Eagles have a pretty good forward line, an OK defence. Their weakness is in the midfield and they have a number of players who are have not developed as expected over the last few years. Priddis is their best and most consistent player in this area, but even he is not in the same class as guys like Fyfe, Mundy, Hill and Barlow. The Eagles would love one or two of the Dockers mids.

I know DD, but the poor bloke has only been their 10 games. I can only assume he thought the list was better than it is.

Yeh dream on Bazza, what I've noticed is a few players that got regular games under Woosha aren't getting a look in. Schofield just played his first game on the weekend I think and the likes of Carter, Brennan and Tunbridge can't crack a guernsey. Tunbridge is an elite left footer with good hands and a bit of aggro. Maybe that's what you need? Also like the look of young McGinness and I think your first round draft pick Karpenay (not sure of spelling). Put a few passengers on notice.

Priddis/Selwood, both the same, hard nuts , but hardly gunna kill ya with thier disposal.
Masten/Gaff/Wellingham, outside players, thats fine, but do ya need 3 of them? Shuey, now theres one who looked 2 years ago to be on the cusp of elite, not sure what has happeend to him. So IMHO, thats a poor return for 6 of the mid field brigade. Not sure how ya address that in a short space in time

Silly comment Bazza. I'm a Freo member but obviously cast an eye over how WC are going and I watch a lot of WAFL. Your wish is like Freo saying 6 or 7 years ago let's throw the kitchen sink at Cousins or Judd. If you want tothrow the kkitchen sink to get an elite midfielder you should be thinking O'Meara, Harley Bennell, Coniglio, Rich, Jetta etc....
