Good win by the WA 16s with a 72 point hiding of Vic Metro today.
We next play Vic Country on Friday.

Only if the boys had kicked straight v SA BH....be looking at possible back to back titles...still hope yet....not all doom and gloom yet on the development front I guess...

One obvious reason is that the coach doesn't think that winning is relevant.

Pretty sure this AFL "player first" development strategy is relatively new in WA footy, so I guess the powers above in WA footy are trying to address that point above you highlight mate....time will tell eh?....be interested to see if that WA under 16 winning team have similar success in the 2019 U/18 champs.....good to see a fair few of the winning team got picked this year as under agers in the 18s squad....

Pretty sure if that was the case 42, why didn't all the u/18 squad members get a run then.....think about 8 didn't.....also once the likes of Stack and Cameron got picked by Sumich, after missing the SA debacle, WA performances improved 10 fold.....but then again I could be wrong, because I obviously am not part of the coaches inner circle or privy to his thoughts and intentions like u obviously appear to be 42.....

One doesn't need to be privy to the inner sanctum to read direct quotes from the coach saying that winner is of no great import.

"winner is of no great import"????? ....not sure what or if you can interpret any thing out of a direct quote like that 42.....anyway I get the jist of your argument mate even with the typo errors....I think?......or did Sumich say "the winner is of no importance to him" if he was the losing coach?....makes sense to me.....Pretty sure Pickering doesn't care one iota about the Perth Footy team after his side SD lost to them on the weekend.....and why should he?

Well the state u/16s had another big win.....if only they had kicked straight v SA in round 1....7 more scoring shorts to lose by 3 pts....oh well.....but be interesting to see the under 18s side next year with last year's 16s boys and this year's 16s boys combined....but true as you say BH 16s success doesn't always transition into 18s success....but great effort by 16s boys anyway....always good to thump the Big V in a footy match

Great to see Wilson (SD) and Sturrock (Peel) play League football yesterday. Both members of the State 18s. Here’s hoping a few more clubs push players up, if they’re good enough. Good for the competition. Would love to see O’Reilly play League for the rest of the season at EF
