Yeah a 3 point loss for the 16s....failure at its most obvious......despite having 7 more scoring shots than the opposition....can see your concern BH and 42......really don't understand how Vic M or Vic Country win the bloody thing most years then.....what development strategy do they follow?.....

I probably shouldn't be surprised that simple mathematics might be beyond you freezin. Despite all your obfuscations and hyperbole the simple fact is that neither the 16s nor 18s coach consider that winning is important in the 16s and 18s competitions. One obvious reason for that would be if WA lose matches than it is not a result that they are held accountable for.

As Grump has pointed out and what anyone should know there will be a good crop of players in some years and not so good in other years. Has the WAFC taking over junior councils improved standards, playing numbers?

So tell me what do the Vic Metro or Country coaches say to their boys each year then, considering they have followed this "not winning" mantra many years before Sumich and Micale jumped on board apparently this year......or aren't you privy to that info?

Anyway good to see SDFC and Harding leading the way with the new colts comp....obviously both parties have jumped on board this new mantra to playing footy....and winning too

freezin you actually make Gavin Taylor seem more interested in the WAFL than you do.

So far neither side (18s or 16s) has managed to win a game in their respective championships.

What a glowing endorsement of the changes made by the WAFC. Of course, there are no key performance indicators that will be used to measure the success or FAILURE of the changes made. No-one will face the consequences of the decisions made.

Notwithstanding Grump's comment that things are cyclical in nature: some good years and some bad years; one would have thought that having a vibrant WAFL league competition feeds down to the lower WAFL grades (dare one say trickle down economics style) that would ensure greater standards of junior players and draft picks.

Apparently the only KPI's 42 are the number of Top 20 draft picks we have....having watched our 18s a couple of times this year I dont think they will be met with only Hill a realistic chance of achieving the WAFC standard!

Please explain how you consider that the second team is leading the "WAFL colts". You are even less-informed than G Taylor as well.

Peel are on top in the Colts- though it's close. Coached by ex-Shark, Brad Dodd.

I've watched EF Colts for most of the season- the standard across the comp is pretty even. No-one really stands out talent wise. I'd be surprised if we had a heap drafted this year and that probably reflects in the State 18s results
