Comp flying in 2012? what do you base that on..crowds up? ..crowds peaked on 2009 and tracked down from there.

It's quite disgusting Swandog to look at the past 29years and see how the majority of West Aussie football fans have turned their backs on their own state's wonderful football competition. Watching the Winners revisited in recent weeks on Fox from the early 80's and comparing it to footage of our own WAFL during the same period and you could be forgiven for thinking that the WAFL was the better standard during that period. Most would disagree with that statement I know but I challenge all to look at some old footage from both comps and then make judgement. Some of the footy I've been revisiting watching the Winners is of a very average standard in reality. The old WAFL stands up...how and why did we ever let it get this way...not even Mum knows!!!

Yep WA people dumped local footy in droves, they have taken to the plastic AFL product like leemings , the comp was showing some chance of recovery and then puff the dockers introduction wiped that out.

Yep 29 years since the shambolic rushed decision to bring WCE via Indian Pacific in , SDFC and SFFC fought it all the way, the WAFL financially struggling paid a tonne, got ripped off and within a couple of years was holding out the begging bowl to the tax payer, the assortment of dud admisntrators amazingly are still in power and pulling strings, did you know that the WAFL is still in debt of $10 Million and was bailed out by the tax payer again to the tune of $15 Million a few years ago, kept very quiet , paid off the capital of the loan of $34 mill for the cluster fark that is subiaco oval, all this while AFL players wages , coaches etc are walking away with millions.

total disgrace.

The WAFC sold the football public a lemon, the papers are feeding us bullshit like West Perth will be punished ETC ETC. West Perth will host the qualifying final at Joondalup and that's confirmed.

Note the significant lift in attendances from 2004 to 2009 .... that's when Subi won 4 flags in 6 years out of 5 GF's, then it dropped in 2010 ... who won the flag that year?
