Surely someone is taking the p*ss with this article?

Yes just read that...

WP SET TO FIGHT MOVE THE WEST TODAY

au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/a/293334...h-set-to-fight-move/

Cant see why this would happen? What would it achieve... they still have game 4 v 5 on the day to televise. More proof that the WAFC has no idea and there decision is brought on by MALICE nothing more.
The more you read the on this issue the more unbelievable it becomes and the more the WAFC is using their power to disrupt the finals at ANY COST.
Games can be moved but the cirumstances must be due to the fact the team or club cannot hold the final game due to circumstances beyond their control. I am pretty sure it happened once before. This is not the case with WP and they should be allowed to play the game at Joondalup and it is THEIR RIGHT.

Does anyone know the reason for moving? As far as I know the rules have not changed and consequently the match will be played at the Arena because West Perth have finished second. Or have the rules changed and no one knew? If said action goes ahead and West Perth have their hard earnt reward taken from them, it will be the last straw!

The rules havent changed WAG... As it says in the article above I gave the link to from the West It states it is not a rule and the WAFC can change it anytime they like or words to that effect.

I think his statement says it all and shows the tactics the WAFC will go to to get their CHILDISH WAY... But there is a lot more to it than the CHN9 Logo on the WPFC JUMPER.. Just reasearching it now and it is Hot....

NOW THIS IS HOT.... Thanks to MIKEH for bringing it to my attention as I didnt see it in the Business section. It seems amongst other things we have a strange bedfellow that blew me away.. Tom Percy...

from other thread

WOW MIKEH that article is dynamite... I tried to get it from the Perth Now site... NOT FOUND. It is there but wont come up... After much searching I found it
Guess where? On the Advertiser website in Adelaide???? In there Sunday paper?
The WAFC is certainly making idiots of themselves.. I actually found an article in the SMH last week. They also consider this a a load of shit by our GOVERNING BODY

I also dug the article/paper out of my bin just in case someone is playing games if you catch my drift. I will put the link on the WPFC Topic and WAFL... It is a real eye opener. Great Graphic flow chart Joe did as well but not in article I dont think.
Might try and scan it but it takes up a page and a half and gives pics of the people concerned and how they are linked

READ THIS LINK AS I SAID I HAD TO GET IT FROM THE Adelaide Advertiser
WHAT A CAN OF WORMS WE HAVE HERE..I have the hard copy which includes a GRAPH which links a lot of parties including TICKETMASTER..And their links with the Perth Stadium etc etc

It's no secret about Tom Percy. But didn't realise he was still there or in the mix.

Whats hot about it, sounds like a nutter conspiracy theorists trying to join a lot of dots and as westguy says most of it we already know

Btw Ian Taylor was the first and only Sports Minister to take up his seat on the WAFC board after tax payers bailed the WAFL out.

Dead right Bazza, nothing new, just re-hashed crap that most wasn't true. Everyone knows who the players are in this impasse.

Never had any issues when it was the ABC and no alignments - comp was flying in 2012, crowds growing and standard great..thanks WAFC for beginning to fuck it all up, things looked like they were finally on the up..Just for historical reasons Saturday just gone was the exact date 29 years ago that the WAFL got sold down the river to bail out bankrupt Collingwood, Footscray, North Melbourne etc etcfuckinetc

It's quite disgusting Swandog to look at the past 29years and see how the majority of West Aussie football fans have turned their backs on their own state's wonderful football competition. Watching the Winners revisited in recent weeks on Fox from the early 80's and comparing it to footage of our own WAFL during the same period and you could be forgiven for thinking that the WAFL was the better standard during that period. Most would disagree with that statement I know but I challenge all to look at some old footage from both comps and then make judgement. Some of the footy I've been revisiting watching the Winners is of a very average standard in reality. The old WAFL stands up...how and why did we ever let it get this way...not even Mum knows!!!

I agree wholeheartedly mate that our footy was a greater and more skilful standard and this became evident during State of Origin contests, who knows what may have been if the WAFL didn't buckle and vote to go in to the VFL, some reckon the WAFL would have gone broke but I don't believe so and with our mining booms etc it could have been WA holding all the footy aces right now! But unfortunately the horse has bolted for dinosaurs like us, but the giant awoke just a little at Basso on Saturday proving there is still a strong spirit of club footy if the right atmosphere and vision is provided like it is by clubs like SD and WP
