Congratulations France well played and were simply too good on the day.

Have really enjoyed the World Cup tournament.
And France prevailing in the end, although Croatia tried hard and certainly not disgraced in any way. The after game presentations were also great to watch. The whole tournament has been very successful I think. Has been great reading comments/ input from everyone too.

The next World Cup is heading to Qatar in the Persian Gulf for the 2022 tournament after controversially winning the right in 2010.
FIFA has taken the decision to move the tournament from the normal time-frame;to the cooler winter months and has confirmed a start date of 21 November 2022.
The Final is due to be played a week before Christmas on the 18th of December.

yep I had my doubts about Russia hosting it, with thuggish police, poor quality officials, run down stadia, zero fun and small crowds.

it was exact opposite and vastly superior to South Africa and Brazil.

Probably the best World Cup since at least Germany.

With what happened at the World Cup, the writing was on the wall.
Unclear if he will quit club games? I'd imagine he'd still have plenty to offer in that area.
