What a summer of recruiting. These old bones of mine are so excited for round 1. I hear a train a comin so get on board Swannies fans. All I need now is a fat controller. I think I know of one.

Looks like Hampson has retired

Great player and a big loss to SD and the comp, yes he was a different sort of bloke and had some issues but I will always remember his heroics in the second half of the 2014 GF against the East Eagles where he played so well under great duress with another hammy injury, played the game out and was one of our best.

Anyone know the story behind this? I thought George had a few more years left in him although his 2020 season never got going due to injury, maybe the body was giving him a message. Disappointing given that he may have been playing in a few more winning teams next year.

But will be based in Perth and travel to play. Has stated he can't commit to WAFL training demands in his final year of his law degree. I'm sure George will be more than handy without training with his team mates during the week.
