Shaping as a beautiful day to get down to Leederville on Saturday,29* and sunny.
After last weeks thumping of Perth and the WCER poor effort,one would think we'd going in as favourites but with the Eagles looking to possibly get some game time into a few players before round 1 who knows what the make up of their team will look like. Dawson said he didn't expect much change to his team but Harding is expecting to come up against one of the strongest lists of the year.
I wouldn't expect too much change to our team,however as I stated in another topic,Rudy did look a bit proppy late in the last qtr. Smirk would be vulnerable in my opinion.

Yeah mate you'd have to believe there'll be a couple of AFL jokers coming back for game time or at least plan for it regardless

At least Swans wont have to play against Nic Natanui. Simpson has indicated that he won't give him a run in the WAFL this week.

typical the week we play weagles they are coming of a loss and the afl arent playing so there will be alot release to play just to see who will get to play round 1.
I hope our older players look after the young as we know they will try to be phyical, all we need is to use our speed and play like last weekend.

pity Simpson doesn't think Natanui needs a run before the WBD game too.....would be great for the WAFL seeing Nats running around....certainly would draw in a few more fans on Sat.

I would rather him kick 6 goals and be best on ground in a winning Swans team.

Looks a lot stronger East Perth team than fronted last week. Kane Lucas, Jamie Bennell and Simon Tunbridge should get a spot in the West Coast side next weekend, but I wonder if their time on the ground might be managed like some of the Peel players? Swans may be able to trouble them with their pace on a hot day. Of course this will be Murray Newmans first game against Swans so it will be interesting to see how he goes.

From Swans point of view, another two players from the Colts premiership have been named as emergencies ( Ridley and Wilson) so they aren't far off a debut. I was impressed with all the debutants last week. Hopefully Jackson Slater plays a blinder against his old club as well. I hope at the very least we can give them a good run for their money, it may be a tall order to ask them to beat a team stacked with AFL trained players. You never know though.......
